How did this game turn into such a snooze fest :(

The games get simpler towards the end as to not have the mechanics distract as much from the players

The flashy stuff was earlier when it was okay to have players play Russian roulette or some other shit but now the spotlight is on the finalists and it's all up to them to decide how the game ends

EM games led to incredibly intense and high WIMs, because games lasted 1-1.5 hours max and we were all committed to be there. We obsessed over the games and gave them all we had.

The problem is we all came back to forum mafia, and while some people said "Ah yes. I have to be very judicious with my time and effort" you also got degenerates like me and petapan who never leave their basements having all the time in the world to go "BUT WHAT IF I EXTEND THAT PLAYSTYLE OUT FOR THREE WEEKS STRAIGHT?"

My mafia infancy was in 16-8, 12-12, and 24-24 hour games. The slow pace of MS mafia drove me crazy when I first joined.

Sometimes I play games like there's a 10 or 14 day deadline, but not consistently. I do like having long deadlines, though!

I played a 36/12 game a few months ago with a bunch of people I used to play with regularly. The changes to my playstyle from playing at MS had several of them (and the spectators) scumreading me. I think I would have been elimmed eventually if we hadn't won the game on day 4.

The insomnia was INTENSE. I probably won't try that again anytime soon!
