Town ping on Circle seems like TMI when all they did at that point was post a song and offer mech talk, yet you've shaded me for mech talk.

Read on Purple feels very quick and one-dimensional, and you just stick to this read going forward no matter what Purple says or does afterwards.

I liked Circle's posting at the beginning and it wasn't all mech-talk, just felt genuine to me.

He felt eager to get started and his thoughts weren't trivial by any stretch.

As for purple, I have thought a lot about his posting and I don't think it's fair to say my read of him is one dimensional, I express quite some doubt in my read there and he's not someone I'd want to push to eliminate on Day 1.

Are you upset that I have given townreads in the past for mech talk but not for you?

The thing about mech talk is, it helps as a crutch to actual scum hunting - however if someone has only mech talk in their ISO and not much scumhunting, it feels very ++scum.

It is easy for scum to talk about mech and avoid talking about reads/scumhunting because it feels more comfortable to them.

This seems more like you're trying to justify your scum read rather than just make an honest read on Purple.

That is my honest opinion of Purple's read list.

many of the townreads simply state "____ is a Townread, I liked ___"

It felt copied over and over and many of the townreads are because Purple liked the reaction to his entrance which was usually cited as negative.

That was confusing to me unless he intentionally decided his entrance was scummy, but then why would he think people shading him are town?

It'd make more sense to me if he thought some of the scumreads on him were of convenience/faked.

I think there is an implication that the unpaired shape is going to get offed so that would make sense as a reason to be upset as scum that no one is engaging with you.

I do see your point that this also happens to townies as well - I just think the unique mechanics of the dance make it as likely if not more likely to come from scum.

We are halfway to finishing out pairings so there's a lot of pressure for mafia if they are still unpaired imo.

To contextualize:

Star's appeal for being left out came early on, which was why I questioned it.

My... I guess 'switch' but really was just dishearten..ment if that is word, came after I posted some thoughts and the only engagement I received on them was from the person I quoted within that post, and it's a bit like... I'm being tossed into a POE because I haven't impressed which, okay, I haven't posted a lot nor do I have the time/energy. But then when I try to give something it's glossed over for a page or two and people don't seem to be actually thinking about my slot. It makes an unpleasant game and makes me not want to try which yes, it is early, but something like that is just... yeah. It didn't feel like people wanted to talk to me when I was already in a bad mood.

It's just harder for people to engage with a giant wall post than smaller posts in general.

My mind kind of tends to just press "skip" when I see something long.

I've caught up. Blue seems townie. They're a bit artificial, but I don't find it being used to much advantage other than being inoffensive to reduce scum reads/suspicion.
They don't feel like passive scum to me, due to some of their suggestions.

Charismatic, attractive, kind of dreamy.

If scum I think I'd be pocketed very comfortably.

Strong thread presence, very much feels like a leader type.

Cons

Will probably get nightkilled very early - leaves me sad and alone.

Orange might hate me for stealing her man.

Reminds me of:

A slide, childhood, and nightmares about trigonometry tests.

Pros

He's funny and reckless and feels kind of dangerous.

Promises he will be different man in private. (but unlikely to change)

Entertaining, I think he'd make me laugh, a lot.

Probably elimbait - isn't likely to get nightkilled so we'll have lots of time together.

Cons

Didn't show up for an entire day, lots of inactivity.

Might not always answer texts.

Not sure he's ever going to take this game seriously or grow up.

Not someone you'd bring home to meet the parents.

That rundown in 409 at first glance looked like busywork, 410 looked like Circle was enabling it, and 411 looked like a slick follow-up. But re-read 409 and there's more substance to it than I thought, just need to cross out all of the flourishes. That makes 410 look better bc it was a similar thought to mine. And 411 is similar posting style to a lot of your other posts, so consistency won over. I'm not discounting my initial thought though. I want it in my ISO for later in the game if I'm alive.

I get told I've got a straight-forward posting style, and I try to read for content. So I'm not too worried about it. If you're scum, it will show. I suggest you try not to deviate from your regular style if you are town lest you look unnatural.

Yeah, I don’t care for it either particularly since I don’t agree with the reasoning for it. The read just seems way too strong and the basis for it doesn’t really fit with the stance. Both stances, wanting to be left unpaired and now this, leave me concerned.

Just finished catching up. So far I like Arrow, Circle, Heart, and Pentagon for town shapes. I was null on Heart for a bit, but their recent posts don't feel panicked about a potential PoE closing in on them, which is +town.

Diamond's defeatist attitude wrt perceived lack of interaction is very meh to me, several people myself included have given him content to work with but he hasn't responded to much. It also seems odd that he's acting like he's going to have to go solo since no one is poking at him too much, even though he's guaranteed to pair up with a color. Also don't like Triangle's gimmick the longer the game goes on, since my eyes tend to glaze over when reading their posts and that may just be the point. It seems like borderline encrypted text, intentionally making their posts hard to read just seems anti-town.

For colors, Green, Purple, Red, and Yellow all feel pretty townie to me.

Not really liking Blue's posts, early reads felt off and her scum reads ping me with Ro3. If Blue ever flips scum I'd want to get Diamond next immediately. Orange meanwhile is null scum for me, mainly just vibes since a lot of early posts were just "I like this/this seems townie" without giving a reason, plus the early shade on Purple that didn't go anywhere and just faded once he started towning it up. It got weird because Orange seemed to be so impressed by Purple's town read on me that she went from believing Purple was fishy to hard town reading him.

I don’t understand it but I can see a possible scum motivation for pushing on so many colors because only one slot - a shape slot obviously is going to be left out and based off of what Star was saying they wanted to yeet Diamond if you flipped scum but that would obviously imply that Star or Triangle is getting yeeted today, so I just find that leap extremely odd.
