I think if you draw a line where doing ___ as town is acceptable but doing the same thing as mafia is unacceptable, it just creates imbalances in the game.

I do recognize some players are unwilling to do certain things as mafia that they are willing to do as town but imo that is somewhat unfair for the players involved as it creates clears where there really should not be clears.

I understand what you're saying. At least personally, I'm not willing to have a fight like that as any alignment, and I think that's a good line to draw
