For now, I just don't really buy their explanation that they were fine paring with pretty much anyone to kill red. Given their reads, it's a divergence from the rest of the player's approach, likewise they're voting Heart and not Red right now. Which discredits that explanation further.
It strains credulity.

The reason I'm not unvoting you in case you're wondering is because I still don't really think,

"I just paired with anyone, because I want to kill these two people" makes sense. It's basically dodging the question of not being selective or thinking deeply about it.

Arrow, you're treating pairings like a dance game. This is NOT a dance game, pairings in a vacuum mean nothing, as we don't know our own roles/modifiers in advance.

I know you're clearly not reading posts fully and processing them, but for the love of ~deity~ stop and think about how this changes things from a setup look.

Partnering just gives you a 1 on 1 sorting or snowing room if town or scum, alongside a "work together" role to do interesting things with.

You are so blind to the game state that you weren't able to see that the game was stagnating with the inability to form wagons while waiting for a few low-content slots to form up in pairs?
