In terms of game impact it's better to kill a different scum in the scenario where Gypyx is scum, since scum! Gypyx would be confscum in melo whereas a different scum would not.
And obviously if he's telling the truth, which is the much more likely scenario than a scum fakeclaim, then you definitely want to elim elsewhere

are rooted in the assumption he is scum lying about his ability and that he would be protected in elo when its too late to harm him.

He's either confscum that will be caught or town telling the truth. I can't imagine a scenario that town lies about this and thinks they're running a productive gambit.

It does, but I remember the time I checked the math it would only happen on Melo/Elo if we dont eliminate scum before then. Or was it 2 scum? Somewhere along those lines.
