petapan positions himself underneath the dangling rope, motioning hurriedly for Ydrasse to come over so he can give her a boost.

Without hesitation, she climbs atop his shoulders and stretches for the bell's cord. Cannot.. quite.. reach.

From atop her perch, Ydrasse looks briefly to Gammagooey, then settles on the worst. She beckons for him to come over.

"The worst, I think we can just reach it if you help."

There's an objection. Gammagooey pushes his way in front of the worst.

"No, no, no, you're not going to want

his

help. I can—"

He takes a step forward, but the floor gives way. A hidden trapdoor in the stage steals him away. The host looks to the last remaining contestant expectantly.

"Well, the worst? Take your victory. Go, then!"

He hesitates for a moment, stunned, seemingly lost in their own thoughts.

How did... we get here?

"Welcome one.. welcome all."

Something knocks you hard on the head as a flashlight is shone in your face.

There's a dusty VHS camcorder mounted on a tripod and aimed in your direction. You hear a click, and an LED on the front begins to blink red.

"and.... action! We're on the air!"

A small figure dressed in an oversized coat and hat faces rows of empty chairs, before turning around to address you directly.

"Ready, everyone? I hope you're as excited as I am! We're going to have a great time."

Creeeaakk... the girl slowly drags out a metal chair covered in restraints from the headrest to the legs.

"It's time for the first event! Let's make it a great one.."

You take a moment to observe the others on stage. There's sixteen of you in total, some bound in chairs, some chained to the stage itself.

"Listen here. I've invited some guest stars to join us today. Friends of mine. Play nice, you four.."

Guest invites? Friends of hers? You don't like the sound of that.

"So... go ahead.. nominate someone for the 'Chair of Execution'! Don't be shy, now."

Somehow, the iron chair gives off an even more sinister feeling than your current restraints.

"Good luck.. everyone.."

She flashes you a crooked smile briefly, before exiting the stage to walk down the empty gallery.

This is ridiculous.. but you're not sure what other choice you have.

The worst reopens his eyes.

Ydrasse stands over a bruised and beaten host of the show, both their chests heaving. She hurriedly beckons for the worst to come.

"Quick, hand it over already!"

The worst looks down at his hands. A length of rope. He tosses it away.

"Why.. should I help you?"

Ydrasse looks to the worst in sheer disbelief. The contestants' former tormentor sees a window of opportunity.

She throws Ydrasse off balance, before catching her and plunging the end of a blade through her neck.

"Hush, star. The show was a sleeper hit. Rest.. now..."

Ydrasse stops struggling shortly after. Their gaze is fixated on the worst as they fade away.

"TRAITOR!"

petapan barrels through the worst, sending the pair of them to the ground and knocking the wind from both. He begin bringing his fists down and yelling between brutal hits,

"You killed them! You did it! Tell me why! Why did you?! Tell me why!"

BANG!

petapan's blows lose their impact. He looks down at the dime-sized whole in their chest, before coughing.

".............why?"

petapan falls to the floor with a resounding thud. He make no further moves. An outstretched hand appears above the worst's head.

"You are truly.. an acting prodigy. I am honoured... to be in your presence."

The worst takes the non-gun-wielding hand of the host, and, with her assistance, painstakingly rises to his feet. He reflexively clutches his head. Blood stickies his fingers.

"Take.. a bow. This is a show that will live on eternally in the hearts and minds of the audience."

The worst swivels his head to the gallery. The chairs are still all empty.

"Now, leave.. there is much work to be done in between shows. Much work."

The worst begins to limp down the nearest aisle, in search of the exit. On his way past the back row, he notices something..

There's an assortment of stuffed toys hiding in many of the chairs. Couldn't see them before. There's a golden retriever puppy in one, a stingray in another, and a stuffed Pallas cat, to name a few.

After pausing briefly, he stops to pick up a little bat, fallen out of its seat. He grins, and mutters to it,

"Did you enjoy the show, little one? I know I did."

I played this game like garbage, had 3 scum in my null/townreads.

That said:

The way Gamma Emerald slot got townread if scum is fucking disgusting

That slot lived by forcing me out of the game entirely, and it's disgusting.
