Cluesassin is a variation of Clue in which instead of solving a murder, you instead are trying to kill the person on your cards, while avoiding the person hunting you behind you.
Keep your identity secret and your senses sharp, because otherwise, you're getting bopped on the head.
Setup
Spoiler:
Once all players have /in'ned, I will shuffle four decks of cards:
A
targets
deck with the names of each character.
A
weapons
deck with each of the weapons.
A
rooms
deck with each of the rooms.
A
characters
deck with the names of each character.
I'll then deal out six hands of cards, each with a target, weapon, room, and character.
Afterwards, I'll PM each player their hand, and place everything in the center.
Your
character
card represents the character that represents you – you want to keep that pawn alive at all costs.
Your
weapon
,
room
, and
target
cards represent your contract – all three parts must be fulfilled to kill your target.
The First Round – Weapon Distribution
Spoiler:
On each player's first turn, they are required to place one weapon from the center and put it in one of the outer rooms.
After everyone has done this in turn order, the game begins.
Order of Play
Spoiler:
Roll 2d6. We don't care about what the dice say – only the total.
You may make a number of moves equal to the total of your dice roll.
The twist – you may move
any
pawn, not just your own – and you may move multiple pawns in the same turn.
Give moves in the format
CHARACTER moves E, E, N, W, enters Parlor
. You may make moves in public, in fact, please do.
Rooms are considered one tile. A pawn may enter and exit a room in the same turn if you so choose.
If there is a pawn in a room and you have actions left you may end your turn early to perform a
room action
.
Play passes.
Room Actions
Call Character
Spoiler:
Post to the thread
CHARACTER calls CHARACTER
, bringing the called character to the calling character's location.
Call Weapon
Spoiler:
Post to the thread
CHARACTER calls WEAPON
, bringing the called weapon to the calling character's location.
Secret Passage
Spoiler:
If there is a secret passage in the room with a character, you may post to the thread
CHARACTER uses secret passage
, sending them to the other side.
Kill via Contract
Spoiler:
If your target and the weapon on your card are both in the room on your card, you can contract kill someone with a pawn also in the same room. It doesn't have to be yours, but it can be. Post
CHARACTER fulfills a contract
where CHARACTER is the character in the same room as your target. I will reveal your three cards to match the contract you are fulfilling, and kill that character.
If your Character is killed, you are out of the game.
You will inherit your target's Target, Weapon, and Room cards. The circle tightens...
Kill in Self-Defense
Spoiler:
If you suspect someone of being your hunter or of being an undercover cop, you may kill in "self-defense".
If your desired target and a character other than your desired target are in a room together, so long as one of the below conditions is fulfilled and there is a weapon in the room, you may post
CHARACTER acts in self-defense {in/with/against} CARD TYPE REVEALED
and attempt to kill that player:
The room the characters are in matches the one on your Room card
The weapon involved is the one on your Weapon card
The character performing the kill is the one on your Target card
I will reveal the card that matched and then process the kill:
If the character had a contract against your character, then the
kill goes through.
The person hunting your hunter inherits their contract and their old one is discarded.
If the character was an undercover cop, then the
kill goes through.
Their "contract" is revealed.
If the character was not hunting you and was not an undercover cop then
the kill backfires, killing you instead, and giving your cards to your hunter.
Their contract against you is discarded.
Accuse
Spoiler:
If a character is in the center of the board (where the Cluesassin logo is), you may
Accuse
another player.
State in thread
I accuse PLAYER of being CHARACTER and wanting CHARACTER dead.
If your guess is correct then that player is taken away and their hunter inherits their contract.
Undercover Cops
Spoiler:
It's possible that you receive
yourself
as a contract. If that happens, you are no longer an assassin, but an
undercover cop
trying to rat out the other players.
You are not being hunted contractually by anyone. However, anyone is free to kill you if they so choose.
Your only methods of killing are accusing other players and killing other undercover cops.
Winning
Last person left standing wins!

Also, what is Not_Mafia doing? This is some of the worst play I’ve ever seen.
I will SEARCH for games with you and N_M to help you policy him.
I can't remember the last N_M post that wasn't bland, unimaginative and lame. Some shitposters are at least somewhat funny. You are the epitomy of the type of poster that nobody would miss if you were to suddenly disappear. You never add anything of value.
This sounds interesting. If I join, do I have to spend the whole time on it? I am going to be on Limited Access from 25 October 2021 to 17 December 2021.
I thought long and hard about joining, but in the end I think I’d be doing myself and the game a disservice by committing to playing and then not having time, so let this serve as a bump, since I’d like to see this fill because it’s a cool idea, and a question:
Can I /in to spectate in some manner?
I proved myself a coward, who would desert a dying man.

Check out 15.ai, it does generated voices for characters and it’s pretty neat.
