What happened with CoF's gold coins?

From my perspective, nothing happened to them. There were a couple of points in the game where players were confused about their coins. If asked, I explained. CoF never asked me about his coins.

Vanillaized players still collected gold. It's probably not explicit in the rule set, but coin based activities weren't affected by other abilities unless those abilities explicitly involved coins, such as selling/buying potions, stealing coins, etc.

Buying a potion for an ability makes sense.

A VT gets a potion... they get an ability right?

Same with the One shot watch in the PT. Bell is vanilized but can use that ability.

... but activating their OWN ability on their OWN role PM to regain an ability is... that seems antithetical to what a Vanilized VT/Goon should be able to do, per the rules of the game.

I don't wanna harp on this too much, so I won't progress that any further, cause I fear it gets cyclical from here. Thank you for the game, I'll look forward to your next one.

I feel like that part of the design definitely needed more work. And I think trying to do a game with this many moving parts AND an additional mechanic as uPick was just an insane thing to do.

I feel like this game combed my hair and gave me a sunburn every single game night.

Re:The Vanilla Potion thing.

I see that it was intentionally separate from the other abilities, even looking at the role pm the gold ability is separated from the others. But I do see LLD's point that that could have been clearer. A simple "gold purchase options are treated differently then your normal abilites" line somewhere under the gold mechanic rules in the OP.

That would be the reasonable assumption to make, but it was actually a gold ability.

I don't disagree. It was super convoluted and just near impossible to brain storm to the right answer. Though funnily enough Notty and Pav did find the correct answer, but they discarded it as unlikely and I would've been right there with them.

I didn't really think Skybird was cleared and didn't agree with people about it oog.
Titus wasn't an active threat during the day phase.

We pretty much killed in order of how openly solvey the town players were or who was earning the most town reads from it.

I did end up killing LLD because I was worried she would flip on me for how I was playing with her in the neighborhood. I didn't think she was cleared just for having a neighborizor/watcher role. It was townie but Bowser was pushing pretty hard for them in the neighborhood and so I could delay it there.
