Why do you believe scum chooses to target M&M Day 1? They made a point that half the player list is LHF, and even if I don't agree with that it certainly implies scum could just settle for limming an easier target.
I don't think scum initially chose MM, I think they're taking advantage of
a) MM being scummy
b) town pushing MM
like, none of the town is here, and people like Toog, vote MM and leave. there's a vote. Scum is well aware deadline is soon. Sure no lim is preferred for scum, but also if they can vote out a potential strong town, why NOT do it??

If I was scum and a bunch of townies were wagoning another townie/the Jester, I wouldn't be posting much and instead just be waiting out the day. Whoever fucked up Day 1 would most likely be taking the heat the follow Day, or at least that's what I'd expect. This isn't to town case myself, but to try to figure out what scum is possibly doing right now if M&M is town/Jester.

I agree about not wanting to be afraid of the Jester, it's why I've been intent on pushing past how Jester-y M&M has been.

I'm curious about these Toog SRs. I feel like I haven't paid much attention to them this game. iirc I said I wanted to look over their posts some time ago, I will probably do that tomorrow. Can those voting them point out what they think is noteworthy enough to vote?
