grendel and norwee, reading that entire exchange, felt like 1 maf talking to another maf, as an effort to distance from each otherIn post 1727, Cephrir wrote:

I still can't understand why, when the issue of LLDs alignment and the interaction with the bears comes up, the focus remains on the fact it was presented as a fake vig, and the fact that the mod locked the thread - something SirCakez specifically stated was not game related - rather than the other mod response.
I could understand if there was an argument being made that it could possibly have still come from scum, perhaps, but for it to have been ignored completely in favour of a discussion on what metagame info might be gleaned from the thread locking instead make me think I must be missing something obvious, here.- Save The Dragons

Unimportant with respect to LLDs alignment, or unimportant in general? In post 1733, Save The Dragons wrote:i feel like both are unimportant
If you mean the later, I'm going to have to respectfully disagree. SirCakez says the thread locking was not related to the game state, which strongly implies the other post was.
I don't know if the apparent concensus to straight up ignore it was deliberate, and I'm not understanding due to my inexperience outside the known setup of the newbie queue, but it's fed very strongly into how I am reading LLD.- Andante

Norwee has been gunning for the elimination of the MegA/Grendel slot since before it was cool. I'm not sure I can buy there is a 'distancing' motivation at play there. In post 1729, Andante wrote:grendel and norwee, reading that entire exchange, felt like 1 maf talking to another maf, as an effort to distance from each other- Val89

LLD does something, Mod publically does two things, one of which SirCakez says was a bit of trolling, presumably meaning the other wasn't.In post 1736, Save The Dragons wrote:how does it relate to LLD's alignment
Again, I would understand an argument from people with more experience with the source, or theme games in general, that it could still possibly come from scum, or perhaps I am misunderstanding cause and effect, but my initial thinking is that if you are going to do something that invokes a public response from a mod, you aren't doing that so openly if you are scum.- Save The Dragons

I really doubt the mod was like, "I'm gonna imply that I interfered with the game on purpose now as a fun clue"In post 1738, Val89 wrote:LLD does something, Mod publically does two things, one of which SirCakez says was a bit of trolling, presumably meaning the other wasn't."I would prefer not to." --Herman Melville,Bartleby the Scrivener- Greeting

I'm not sure I understand Cephrir. SirCakez said the locking of the thread was a bit of trolling, presumably to lend a bit of credibility to the idea LLD had legitimately dayvigged the bears. The other post wasn't mentioned, and would not do that. I assume therefore, that was legitimate and intended.
With respect to knowing that it was related to what LLD did, the short answer is that I don't know for sure, and that's what I mean by misunderstanding cause and effect, but if it wasn't, there is a big timing coincidence there.- Cephrir

so you think 322 is the mod intentionally telling us info about players' alignments???????????????In post 1742, Val89 wrote:I'm not sure I understand Cephrir. I think 322 was a mod response to an activated ability that prompts a public mod response, the existence of which potentially provides a clue to one or more players alignment.
You don't?
I at least understand what StD is saying about it potentially not being caused by LLD posting "Seize: X" in the public thread, and that's something I've considered and explained why at least at this stage is an assumption I'm happy making, but im not entirely sure what you are trying to say, Cephrir.- Greeting

I don't likeGrendelin this game at all.
These reads sound fake and manfactured to me. They sound like they come from the point of view of someone who doesn't see how townyIn post 1275, Grendel wrote: gth Norwee is my biggest SR. Feels like he's quietly playing his own game in the background, and that smells like agenda. Present, active, but distant.
Bell is interesting as he also feels like he could fall into a similar boat. Tho he gives of the vibe of a player that'll be hard for me to read tonally.Bellis acting and sounding. I could considerNorwegianboyEEas a potential scum moreso thanBell, but anything he may have ever posted is... just null. In my experience, scums quite rarely have emotions guiding their actions, it comes from town far more often. And so I'm inclined to think thatNorwegianboyEE's earlier agitation I spoke of in 865 is towny.
Their reads on certain other players look really fake and superficial too, like:
Maybe it's just really hard for me to see what's so extremely scummy about either of these two (three). Like, sure, maybe if I read into them more deeply IIn post 1275, Grendel wrote: Arcade looks like scum. Nothing this game has looked as motivated as what i used to know MariaR for. Idk anything about DUnn, but i don't really care. Norwee still looks like scum too.
Andante is scum lean.couldfind a thing or two. But on surface level, both are very much null and I don't think my eye is any better or worse than that of a common person. When someone makes strong statements like this without substantiating them very much it just looks totally out of the blue.
Grendelmoved on way too quickly from my wagon. In 1282 he literally lists me at the bottom of the list and that's just because of... my wallpost supposedly. Now he's found another target fast. Add to that his predecessor (MegAzumarill), who normally is more active than they were in this game.
My gut says this is the right move. This slot got a red PM.
VOTE: Grendel
The only thing that comes to his defense in my mind is 1698, where he clearly defendsIrcher(and I also think he's town), but in this situation I think it's scum trying to make themselves look cleaner.
I still thinkT3was scummy andVal89's latest posting hasn't changed my mind, so I'm willing to vote that too.- Andante
