  - Don’t be a dick. This is a heated game but keep it civil. Attack the play not the player.
  
• Don't talk about ongoing games
  - You may not talk to each other about this game outside of threads I have created for this purpose. You may not talk about other ongoing games in this thread.
  
• Tiny text
  - Don't do this.
  
• Provable randomness
  - is against the rules. Saying that you rolled a dice is fine, using dice tags or random.org is not.
  
• Claiming scum
  - by yourself is fine. Claiming scum with another player is against the rules.
  
• Cryptography
  - is forbidden. Breadcrumbing is okay.
  
• Confirmation
  - You have about 72 hours to confirm your alignment by PM. Game will start sooner if 8/9 players have confirmed. Posting in a private topic counts as confirmation.
  
• Days
  - Day 1 will last up to 10 days. Each subsequent day lasts up to 7 days.
  
• Night
  - Night lasts 48 hours. The night phase can be shortened if every living player -- even those with no night actions -- agrees to it and if I'm available to make it happen.
  
• Activity
  - You must post at least once every 36 hours or I will Prod you. You then have 24 hours to post in the game thread or I will seek a replacement. A player who has been prodded 3 times will be subject to replacement with no further notice. If you come back before I find a replacement, you can stay. Players can request me to prod somebody early. This will only count as an official prod if you don't post before you would have been due for a prod. If you haven't posted in the 24 hours before the thread is locked for night, you must reply to the night start PM or you will be replaced during the night. Saturday/Sunday count as a single day for prod purposes.
  
• Vacation/Limited Access
  - If you need to be absent for longer than this, you should declare V/LA in bold in the thread like this: @Mod: I will be v/la until Thursday. While you are V/LA, you will be nudged once every 54 hours. Two nudges equals one prod. If you have not posted game advancing content in 5 days, regardless of V/LA status, you will be replaced.
  
• Prodging
  - A naked "prod dodge" does not reset the prod timer. To avoid being prodded/replaced for inactivity, include some game advancing content in your prodges, such as "got prodded; xxxx is still scum."
  
• Quoting
  - You may not quote (or copy paste) any private information into the thread, including your role PM and any mod communication. This includes quoting from PTs.
  
• Eliminating
  - Players are eliminated during the day phase by a simple majority (# living players/2 +1).
  
• Voting
  - Use vote tags or bold tags to place votes. You may shorten the player's name if it remains absolutely clear whom you are voting for. As long as it can be reasonably interpreted as a vote, I will accept it. Do not attempt to use this rule to engage in vote trickery. If I think it's a vote, it's a vote. Night Falls.

Mondays are the worst.

You can’t think of much else as you thrash under the covers, unable to sleep.

The office has fallen on hard times lately, but a sudden opportunity has presented itself: a group of foreign businessmen has decided to buy out your chain and absorb it into their multinational conglomerate.

This should be good news. New management under a new company will mean better pay, better hours. You could move out of your crummy apartment, get a nice place in the suburbs. Maybe take that vacation you’ve been thinking about.

But there’s a catch. New management is only willing to bring in a small, close-knit group of your branch’s top employees to the bigger, better offices. But who will go? New management is not interested in making the decision – they just want a list of the top names. Your old boss is no help – he took a payoff and flew off to the islands with his mistress, leaving you and your coworkers to sort it out for yourselves.

To make matters worse, you’ve found some anomalies in the books that suggest not everybody angling to make it through the merger is on the up-and-up. You shudder to think what they could do if they gain access to the conglomerate’s expanded client lists. At the very least, you and your coworkers will be out of a job. And your stomach knots as you realize that they might think YOU are among the ones trying to freeze everybody else out.

So you twist and turn in bed, the hours and the night ticking by. You’ve shared a workspace with some in your office for months; some of them, for years. You don’t want to think which of them might be planning to stab you in the back, but think you must.

Because when the day dawns, they’ll be coming for you.

Monday Morning.

You come to work on Monday, ready to hash it all out. You toss your coat on the rack and call out a greeting. Nobody responds. The office looks empty.

Maybe they’re in the conference room already,

you think, and stride toward the end of the hall. As you draw near, you pause. Mumbling voices sound on the other side of the door, and shadows shift in the smoked glass. You take a deep breath.

Let’s get it over with.

You reach for the door, but rough hands grab you from behind and spin you into a janitor’s closet.

Inside, it’s dark. The air is musty and thick with the harsh tang of cleaning products and disinfectant. As the door slams shut at your back, you hear a voice whisper in your ear: “Listen up. I think you’re trustworthy. But I know this: somebody in this room is selling us out, and they’ve got a partner in the conference room with the rest of our team. And we need to fire them both before the end of the week.”

With a click, a bare bulb on a string throws its harsh light around the room. Blinking in the sudden brightness, you make out the faces of your coworkers. Suddenly, in the jagged shadows of the closet, their faces don’t look quite as friendly as before.

After an uncomfortable discussion, you and your comrades shuffle out and into the conference room, where the rest of the office is waiting. It’s time to send somebody home for good.

ngl i thought this meant that there was one confirmed townie neighborhood (2 plaeyrs) and everyone else was unconfirmed. this being (1 group of 2/1 and other 5/1 makes more sense)

yes, it's autowin if (and only if) we hit them d1. if anyone can put forward an extremely compelling case on someone in the larger group, i'd consider it for this reason; but it's a pretty low-accuracy play.

theres more incentive for scum to buss person in group 1 today then scum to buss group 2, so we get extremely good associations on anyone pushing people in group 1 pushing people in group 2. (other way around)
