instead of getting the work he'd been procrastinating on for the past week done, Datisi was sipping coffee and watching the live security camera feed from inside the alpha meeting room. just as he got up to get a bowl of popcorn, his phone went off, one of the employees telling him a decision has been made.

the meeting room felt very similar to how it did this morning, except now VP Baltar and Dwlee99 were pointing fingers and screaming at each other. judging from the way all the other employees were positioned around them, it was clear the majority thought VP Baltar was a rat.

"are you fucking kidding me!?" VP Baltar was hysterical, and if Datisi hadn't been about to kill him, he would've gotten worried about his blood pressure.

"i stayed up THREE DAYS STRAIGHT working overtime! i busted my ass off, no, i RISKED MY LIFE for this company! and THIS is how you repay me!?"

from the way others were looking at him, he could tell nobody was taking him seriously anymore. seeing that Datisi had entered the room, he turned to him.

"Datisi, please. you know how GeorgeBailey is! we could've been set up! i-it's not me!"

however, Datisi was not here to actually think about what was going on. "the majority vote has decided. come on, to my office."

hearing those words, all of the frustration suddenly disappeared from VP Baltar's face, and he started speaking in a much calmer tone. "here's some friendly advice,

," he said while looking at him, "if you are aware that your company has been overrun with moles, you should maybe think about changing the password to those super secret bomb plans of yours."

Datisi's face went pale as the realization started sinking in. he was quickly brought back to reality, however, when he heard a faint click of a gun coming from next to VP Baltar's hip.

within the next second, two gunshots went off in the alpha meeting room. they resulted in VP Baltar lying motionless on the floor, and Datisi kneeling on the ground clutching the left side of his head. the employees rushed to him.

"he missed, i'm fine!" Datisi hissed out through clenched teeth.

"Datisi, your head is bleeding!"

Datisi looked at his left hand, which was covered in blood. "it's fine, i don't use it much anyways," he commented as he got back up onto his feet. "i'm gonna go get patched up, the rest of you--"

"what was he talking about," interrupted one of the employees, "about the secret plans?"

Datisi winced, his head was hurting almost as bad as it did that one time he didn't get his first cup of coffee until past noon. "GeorgeBailey has had his eyes on my bomb plans for a while now. he swears he could put my company out of business if only he got his hands on them," he sighed. "considering how much overtime VP Baltar has done in the past few days... if he had the password, he alone could've sent GeorgeBailey half of them."

the employees went silent. disappointed, Datisi walked out of the meeting room and went to look for the first aid kit he vaguely remembered having somewhere in his office. this certainly wasn't his fault for using the same password everywhere. who can remember multiple passwords?

the atmosphere in the meeting room was much more tolerable than yesterday morning. everybody was hopeful, or they were at least pretending to be. Dwlee99 seemed to really be looking forward to the upcoming work day, judging by the enthusiasm with which they were chatting with the other employees.

"oh, hi Datisi! how's your head?"

Datisi entered the room, and he looked... more tired than usual, somehow. "unfortunately for you all, i'll survive."

"uh, you sure you're feeling okay? you look a little... pale. did you lose a lot blood yesterday?"

"i caught a cold!" Datisi yelled out as he took a tissue out of his pocket and blew his nose. "i haven't been sleeping properly since this whole thing started, and i always catch a cold when i don't slee--"

he was interrupted by a sneeze. "look, this isn't easy on me either, okay? i've lost some of my best employees!"

he threw the tissue in the trash, and took his phone out to read something from it. "Titus never clocked out of working overtime and into the day shift. i'm sure you all know what that means by now."

he paused for a moment to see if there were any questions, then headed towards the exit. "i'm gonna go try to catch a nap."
