• This ruleset may be edited at will when necessary.
  
• A contentless "bah" post is allowed.
  
• Play to win, and play to have fun!
  
  
  DAY PHASE RULES:
  
  
• Day phase lasts for 10 days, give or take a small margin.
  
• Please format your votes as VOTE: Player or
  Vote: Player
  . I would highly appreciate the former. Abbreviations are acceptable, so long as the players in reference are obvious. If I think it counts as a vote, I'll count it.
  
• Days end early when a simple majority of players (50% of living players + 1 rounded down) vote to eliminate. If a majority is not reached at deadline or if a majority of the players vote for no elimination, the day will end without an elimination.
  
• Twilight begins when a majority is reached. It lasts until the thread is locked. Until this point, players may post in any and all game threads that they may have access to; they will have this ability until I arrive to flip them. Votes and unvotes in this phase do not count.
  
• Please post at least once every 48 hours. If you fail to do so, you will be prodded. If you fail to respond to said prod within 24 hours, you will be replaced.
  
• If you get three or more prods, or fail to respond to a prod by posting in thread within 24 hours (or by PM if at Night), I will begin seeking for a replacement (this means the third prod functions like a notice that you are racing the search for your replacement.)
  
  
  NIGHT PHASE RULES:
  
  
• Night phase lasts for 48 hours, give or take a small margin. If everyone votes to do so — actions available or otherwise — via PM, fast nights may be enacted.
  
• You may PM me to submit your night actions. If you choose to post them in a PT (such as a mafia PT), I would greatly appreciate you still PMing me regardless, though unrequired.
  
• If you fail to submit an action, no action shall be taken. You may submit an action until deadline.
  
• You may change your action as many times as you want until deadline.
  
  
  CAPITAL OFFENSES:
  
  
• Behave nicely with others. Don't get toxic, don't do personal attacks, keep it a fun time for everyone. If people ask you to tone it down, you should do so. If you don't comply, I'll ask you to tone it down. If you don't stop, you may find yourself force-replaced.
  
• Do not speak about ongoing games. Do not speak with one another about this game save for the threads I have created for it.
  
• Do not quote your role PM or private communication (real or fabricated) with the moderator, co-moderator, backup players, PTs, or anything of that sort. Paraphrasing your role PM is acceptable.

Mechanics

:

• The first two nights are skipped.
  
• Day 1 and Day 2, if a member of the Mafia is eliminated, they must confirm 5 living players to be aligned with the town.
  • This will result in their loss if Mafia are eliminated both Day 1 and Day 2.
• Starting from Day 3, the Mafia will begin escaping.
  • Each night, in addition to a mandatory kill, one of the Mafia must choose to escape, and will exit the game being revealed to be Mafia.
    
  • At this point, if just one of the Mafia is eliminated, the Mafia loses.
    
  • The Mafia win when all living members escape.
• If no Mafia were eliminated Day 1 or Day 2, one member of the mafia will escape immediately following the end of Day 2.

DAY ONE

A world where man traveled freely from nation to nation, unhibited by the capriciousness of both nature and God, was a pipe dream sung by expeditions of the past. From the ships that came proudly from the northern horizons came a singular message, a hope past on by survivors not lost in the waters:

There is a sea man has yet to explore, cold and empty, lifelessly vibrant with the dreams of trade.

And so sailed the

Eurybia

's expedition north, farther than any man had gone. So named for the Greek goddess whose command of the sea they secretly called upon at night, she sailed well and true towards a new chapter of history. Her crew was small but smart, their boat sturdy, and their spirits high in their loneliness; thirteen souls so thoroughly alone and yet proud to be.

But for all their wits, they could not see through the holes of tales past. Or, perhaps, Eurybia herself took offense that in her dwindling legacy this crew refused to invoke her name aloud more than to praise their ship. For there was no open sea to conquer. And the ice came at night, as if summoned, and grew from frost-coated waves to glaciers that gave no respite, no anchor. The

, well and true, was trapped.

Who to blame, the crew asked uneasily? For while no one there could command nature, neither could they remember who was to keep watch at night for the ice that would rip through smaller ships with ease. Someone was to blame -- someone whose cowardice could only come to light when the truth was wrenched from them.

Beneath deck, thirteen explorers gathered; their trust in one another was shaky, but for the sake of survival they would need to root out this treachery and to most of all understand

We've played together a few times, though in a widely different format (on Discord). Same community I met Marci in
I don't think we've played together in over a year though? Can't say I remember his meta that much... I'd read back on old games but I don't have access to them.
Marci would probably have a better answer, I think she's played with him more recently and more frequently.

i would say dont have too much confidence he'll actually show up, i meant to explain how to use the site more like i originally did with meuh, but i didnt have time so i essentially just sent him the link to open quueueueueue and told him to /in ydrasse and told him a bit abt phases

i really do hope he shows but he was a bit confused with how to sign up for the game so it doesnt spark confidence.
