Yes, I can try.In post 1766, BlueBloodedToffee wrote:Frog, can you answer my question please?
Penguin looks like a slot who may have slipped through the cracks early on. I recall Bell voicing suspicions about the slot's inconsistent presence solving in the thread, maybe Bell posted this sometime around yesterday afternoon, and I'm taking those suspicions relatively seriously. I don't think any of my strong townreads are willing to go to bat for penguin and that's the sort of thing I'm looking for right now. Penguin maybe has more posts than what I'm looking for, but looking at their iso it seems their post count may be inflated and their actual content fairly sparse.
OTH is complicated because I don't have much experience with Hydras, and I've played with 1 head (Gamma) a very long time ago and none with the other head. I mainly ruled out OTH due to my stronger townreads being willing to go to bat for the slot, who have more experience playing with marci, so collecting new information from my townreads is going to be the biggest factor in how I assess the slot.
A couple other complications with the OTH slot are my initial interaction with the slot as well as the conflicting opinions posted in the thread regarding marci's scum game. My initial take on OTH was negative which points modestly to chances of flipping red, but it also means I'm more likely to be biased trying to read the slot now. I think the conflicting information posted about marci's scum game in the thread indicates an overall lack of experience playing with or against marci's scum game, as well as highly variable scum play from marci.
I also decided in answer to your question earlier about compromises on Ceph, that I'm willing to compromise vote Corwin because his claim that I showed preferential treatment to Mala looked like shade, and I respect the process I took to reach 1 out of 3 Corwin/Roden/BBT, I'm willing to stand by it as far as Corwin goes even though since then I've thought you and Roden seem more likely to flip town.Bruce: Terry. I'm not necessarily keen on reads list, especially in a bigger game where it's genuinely hard to sort a lot of players, but this is roughly where I'd say I'm at in terms of how I'm feeling. Some players here I'd genuinely forgotten were in the game though given the size.

Sure.In post 1792, Cephrir wrote:
Can you give me some words on any reads you feel relatively strongly about, perhaps? In post 1698, BlueBloodedToffee wrote:Willing to talk Ceph, what you want?
OTH felt super basic early game, posts like 214 look decent on the surface but when you actually analyze them there isn't much there. I also don't see how answers to their questions gain anything in terms of advancing reads. 261 is more of the same.
263 This is a poor push on Rad and seems to be the best they can come up with at this point of the game? Again, just basic, surface level posting.
278 They then meta'd themselves as an attempt at a defence for asking 'seemingly filler questions.'
Nothing they post comes across as genuine scumhunting and more of just trying to look busy, combine this with weak pushes and through the first 20 pages, they don't look great.
Penguin is an interesting one for me because as I was reading it felt like everyone and their dog were town reading them and I couldn't understand why. I didn't understand the vote on Bella (133) or the vote on Ceph [170. He says early votes are not serious, OK then, sure we'll go with that.
But then he says that he likes Frog's push back on OTH (283. This seems like it gives him a better reason to vote than his naked vote on Ceph. But he doesn't and as far as I'm caught up to, he still hasn't moved his vote. This probably wouldn't be a problem if the Ceph wagon wasn't the biggest and most prevalent wagon in the game at the time. It just feels like he stays on it much longer than he needs to (for a non-serious early game vote)
Other scum reads not as strong with minor reasons and explaining town reads has always seemed like nonsense to me - unless said person is likely to be elimmed of course.Meta this. Meta that. I'm rethinking my PoE based on Rad's point about Blue's activity levels, my new take last night that Roden is townie, and CSF's initial gut take that Corwin is townie.
Assuming that my PoE was wrong, which seems likely, there is at least one scum who is collecting town reads, and Corwin/BBT/Roden may be getting scapegoated to some extent. Wrong, Corwin was the lurker slot with the SvS notes, not Taly.In post 1795, Lukewarm wrote:

This is possibly a contrived attempt at pretend-solving, I specifically decided to town bin Mala around the time I posted 482. That was my main motivation for sharing that comment in 482. Mala isn't mentioned again because I had no new takes on the slot. That's not difficult to understand.
