General Rules.

  - Don’t be a dick. Don’t be toxic. Attack the play not the player.
  
• Don't talk about ongoing games
  - You may not talk to each other about this game outside of threads I have created for this purpose. You may not talk about other ongoing games in this thread.
  
• Provable randomness
  - is against the rules. Saying that you rolled a dice is fine, using dice tags or random.org is not.
  
• Claiming scum
  - by yourself is fine. Claiming scum with another player is against the rules.
  
• Text-based shenanigans
  - are forbidden. This includes tiny or invisible text, cryptography, quoting PMs or PTs, imitating the mod, or anything else shady.
  
• Confirmation
  - You have about 48 hours to confirm your alignment by PM. Game will start sooner if 8/9 players have confirmed. Posting in a private topic counts as confirmation.

Phases and Activity.

• Days
  - Day 1 will last up to 10 days. Each subsequent day lasts up to 7 days.
  
• Night
  - Nights will last 48 hours. Players who have not posted within 24 hours before the beginning of the night phase must check in during the night via PM or they may be replaced. Night may be shortened if all living players request it.
  
• Activity
  - You must post at least once every 48 hours or I will Prod you. You then have 24 hours to post in the game thread or I will seek a replacement. A player who has been prodded 3 times will be subject to replacement with no further notice. Saturday/Sunday count as a single day for prod purposes.
  
• Vacation/Limited Access
  - If you need to be absent for an extended period (48 hours or more), please declare your V/LA. While you are V/LA, the prod timer is doubled (96 hours/4 days). If your V/LA will last more than 5 days, consider requesting replacement.
  
• Prodging
  - A naked "prod dodge" does not reset the prod timer. To avoid being prodded/replaced for inactivity, include some game advancing content in your prodges, such as "got prodded; xxxx is still scum."
  
• Eliminating
  - Players are eliminated during the day phase by a simple majority (# living players/2 +1).
  
• Voting
  - Use vote tags or bold tags to place votes. You may shorten the player's name if it remains absolutely clear whom you are voting for. As long as it can be reasonably interpreted as a vote, I will accept it. Do not attempt to use this rule to engage in vote trickery. If I think it's a vote, it's a vote. Examples of acceptable votes: VOTE: Pavowski;

• No Elimination
  - No-elimination is possible. If the day phase deadline elapses with no player reaching a majority of votes, the day will end with no elimination.
  
• Twilight
  - Begins when a final vote is reached and lasts until I lock the thread. You're still alive until I flip you, so you can talk in any game threads you have access to until then, but no votes or unvotes will be counted.
  
• Daytalk
  - Mafia has daytalk.
  
• Action submissions
  - Night/Day actions must be submitted in the appropriate PT, or via direct PM to the mod.
  
• Play to win
  - this particular game, not some future one, and keep it fun!
  
• ON REPLACEMENTS.
  If/when a player replaces in, living players will have a grace period of 12 hours to reach out to me to veto a player replacing in. This measure is to ensure the comfort and wellbeing of all players. Please be prepared to discuss your reason for a veto, as I mean to be as fair as possible to all players.

• 25% chance of 3 Vigs (50% Blank Vig) and 4 town roles (50/50% Bomb or Supersaint)
  
• 50% chance of 4 Vigs (50% Blank Vig) and 3 town roles (50/50% Bomb or Supersaint)
  
• 25% chance of 5 Vigs (50% Blank Vig) and 2 town roles (50/50% Bomb or Supersaint)
  
• Mafia has a factional Roleblock OR a factional Doctor protection each night (as well as the group kill). One member may choose to perform both the NK and the Doc/RB choice.
  
• Vigilantes will not be informed whether they are a blank or not.
  
• A Bomb will kill any player who successfully shoots it at night (unless protected by a Doctor action). A Bomb’s reflexive kill cannot be roleblocked.
  
• A Supersaint will kill any player who hammers it during the day.
  
• Mafia wins endgames where they control 50% of the town UNLESS the remaining townie(s) is a Bomb, in which case the game ends in a tie.

Oh, good, you can hear me.

Welcome to the Game!

You might be waking up with a headache. This is normal, and is a result of the implant we, er, implanted you with, and through which I'm now speaking to you. Do not panic. Panic might increase your blood pressure, heart rate, and breathing, which might cause the device implanted in your head to explode. It should go without saying, but let me assure you, detonation of this device would be deadly. Yes, the device is both a transmitter and a bomb. What a time to be alive!

You will also notice that you’ve been fitted with an ankle bracelet. It’s tamper-proof, water-proof, and idiot-proof, and if you did somehow manage to remove it, or if you attempt to leave the game area, it’ll trigger the previously-mentioned head-explodey-thingy, so I recommend against both of those things.

(Why an ankle bracelet *and* a head-explodey-thingy? Well, in prior runs of the game, we only used the head-exploders, and players seemed to think they could get away with more than they actually could. Out of sight, out of mind, right? Ha, ha. The ankle bracelet is just there to remind you that we will, in fact, detonate your head if you make us do it. A sort of tangible reminder of your mortal peril, if you will. Our psychologists have assured us that this solution makes sense, and they're the experts, so they must be right.)

You might be asking yourself if this is legal. Actually, you’d only be asking yourself that if you didn’t read the fine print on the waiver you signed, so who’s really to blame, here, in that case? Let’s just say that this is all “basically not specifically illegal” and leave it at that.

Where was I? Right. In front of you is a box. In that box is a gun. Everybody gets a gun. Some of the guns work like guns, some of them don’t, and some of them don’t do anything at all. They all look alike, and they only work at night. You’ll know what your gun does (probably), but you won’t be able to prove it to anybody. These guns are proprietary technology developed by The Company. Don’t ask questions.

Oh, and the bad guys in this Game (you know, the ones you’ll be trying to find and eliminate) have special guns that do other things, too. We don’t want to make this too easy for you. But don't worry; they have head-exploders in their heads too, as far as you know.

Now pick up your weapon, go find your teammates and your foes, and see how long you survive.

Oh, and have fun out there.

I've played a handful of times with Dunnstral, Galron, Bambi Jay, and yes Alexcellent is right we played one game of One Night Ultimate Werewolf several years ago. I've played one game with Frogster as well.
