I feel like no one else understands the context of this but

A long time ago, I co-moderated a game called kidney mafia and it was a very memey game

I think it'll be slightly funny if Schadd_ wrongly assumes Galron's role claim is correct because of that. That said I understand backup neighbour being a fakeclaim isn't exactly intuitive.

i dont remember any of the roles from that game, like there was a ridiculously tiny mafia and this serial killer that had a bunch of bullshit and the survivors team and then like every individual member of the town fakeclaiming something for fun

I don't remember much from it either but I felt like I remembered you bringing up at some point a while after it ended calling it silly?? So I thought that might have played a role

I don't think the normal queue is really the place for silly setups, though

I hope this setup wasn't too unenjoyable for anyone! Nightplay played a greater role than I intended but I feel like this was kind of a perfect storm that led to that outcome. I felt like weak neighbourizer was a neat role and it was fun to watch from a modding viewpoint

i'd agree with my nebulous past assessment that kidney was a silly game. i think this game was fine. yes weak neighborizer is one of the several roles i'd say is probably innately fun

If I had a nickel for every time I hard bussed Galron on Day 1 and lost in f5, I would have two nickels. Which isn’t a lot, but it’s weird that it happened twice.

I saw that and tbh with my knowledge that the last mafiate was VT I looked at you setting things up and thought it was you.

I always try to send them almost all at once which does take several tabs being open but it’s worth it

For the record, my method:
Copy-paste everything to send in the PM, but don't actually send it. Have a tab open for every player, then send in the order of the playerlist.

Takes a shitload of tabs, but it guarantees that all role PMs are sent within two minutes in a way that cannot be metagamed, since there's no time delay (if there's a time delay of 2 seconds then two slots may share a role to contrast with a time delay of three minutes which means they definitely don't) and that the roles are sent not by role but by order on the playerlist (and thus people can't determine who the PRs/vts/scum are).

Now, granted.

Site rules mean that people shouldn't be able to do this metagaming--unless explicitly allowed by the mod, the listmods will likely ban anyone for getting too close to attempting this.

But just in case......

Was really impressed by how universally townread he was, I feel like he wins this pretty much solo if he kills kitty and busses Klick?

I was very worried that without 2 scum I would put myself in a hole mechanically, which did end up happening, but I also ended up not having any towncred for voting Klick too.

Yeah I totally understand why you wouldn't want to bus Klick there and maybe if things had gone differently that'd be a wise call, certainly you expect some level of mechanical disadvantage from losing two scum. Generally speaking if two of the scum are heavily suspected early game it's always going to be difficult for the third and I think you did well under the circumstances

The way Mala interacted with Galron basically made her confirmed town as soon as he flipped scum.

Killing me for that read was kinda questionable.
