As a person I'm very fond of you, so don't take my indecision as a personal slight.

I'm tired right now so can't contribute that much but please don't worry about this. I'm not going to get offended that you don't townread me, that's part of the game. The situation with Marci felt much more personal and that's why I reacted strongly to that.

I liked this post. I'm pretty sure someone else commented similar but:

1. the independent kinda indignant attitude strikes me as town
2. it seems to show some reflexive curiosity about Datisi

gamma seems to be on the lower half of the player list consensus reads wise so I'd also suspect them of trying a little harder to look towny by explaining reads when prompted or offering up as much as they can. instead they are very relaxed and when prompted - doesn't share much and instead prods Datisi based on what seems to be a natural reason

FoS dannflor and xoxelf unless someone can meta town send them for me. I have some limited ability to meta the slot dann replaced into (Eiralox) and their play here is pretty scum for them. I have no ability to meta xo they just look like frozen scum to me.

I townlean almost all of the active players, skitter specifically. I think our time is best used listening to anyone who has an opinion on the dann/xo slots and then killing one of them.

firs check: Reading your iso makes me smile a lot. You bring this air of fun to it. You're one of those posters who does a lot of jokeposting, but in a *good* way, not a this could be scum way. That being said, a lot of your phrasing comes across as if you're super concerned with your perception by everybody else. Not that I think you're trying to appear town when you're not, but it's got this "please like me and be nice" and I think it's more from a place of you've had bad game experiences that have drained your enjoyment of playing and burnt you out, than it is trying to be townread. I hope you're finding this game fun still. I actually think you're town, with a focus more on things being enjoyable for everybody which I appreciate.

I don't think coming in as a replacement and automatically town reading all (or almost all) the active slots immediately shows you are critically thinking about the game at all

I think it shows you want to blend in with the crowd and survive

plus the survey as a substitute for content is icky

i have conflicting thoughts on firebringer. my first thought is that saying "i'm not into this game yet!" is very easy to do as scum. my second thought is that it utterly fucking sucks when you're not into the game yet and people are shitting on you for not being into the game. so i guess the two cancel out. sad.

its very easy to get townread in game as scum just as easy it is to say ur not into game yet. And if im making excuses because i can't play its cause i don't have time to play lately, gonna be here on friday.

Like just as a general rule i think u know this dats so i don't want to sound preachy but like a scum player just has to go around and ask people questions as they read to get their thoughts to make it look like they are getting alignment, its very easy to do because even if u know their alignment u still can't read their mind so its easy to find questions to legit be poking people on and it looks like ur trying to search alignment when ur really just getting a better feel for current mindset.


i feel like i would be bragging to say i don't remember the last game i was mass scumread day 1 as scum. its almost like i get put in higher townreads as scum. Anyways this is bs self meta shit that isn't useful to u.


my point is, i am just busy. I wouldn't need to hide and pretend im not in the game because im scum. I enjoy playing scum.

also idk about their meta but scum usually doesn't behave the way my predecessor did of giving out 0 content

they didn't even throw out a hedged read or some wishy washy faked reads

they were like, sorry my brain is overloaded and dipped. they didn't try and were perfectly content about that. they were a townie who got overwhelmed by the volume of the game.

I think Fireisred pushing there makes some sense because they were looking for something specific but I'm skeptical about genuine scum reads on the slot. Scum usually doesn't behave like that and I'd challenge people to find instances of scum behaving like that.

largely your initial reactions to being scum read by several slots

I felt like I recognized it as a place I've been in multiple times before where it is difficult to keep your cool

I generally think scum tends to be more self conscious and you also strike me as a self-aware player in general, and as such I think you'd be a little more cognizant of going hyper defensive right off the bat.

particularly the post where you outlined your thought process in bullet points struck me as particularly natural frustration.

Like come on, you're probably better than that(idk since I don't think we've played together nor have I seen you around much). Good luck on getting a meta read, I don't play a lot, though a lot of the people here I've played with before and I roll town almost all the time, I don't think most of this playerlist was even on site the last time I rolled scum or third party so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.

I mean, I think in general most players ARE going to town read more active players. Now obviously, not all scum are going to be lurksacks but I feel like in the games I've played recently there's always been less active scum.
