What do you think it is?In post 273, Klick wrote:Tangentially, I'd be -very- surprised if the setup were 16:5

17:4 makes sense to me with a known powerful anti-town mechanicIn post 276, furtiveglance wrote:What do you think it is?In post 273, Klick wrote:Tangentially, I'd be -very- surprised if the setup were 16:5
But I'm not amazing at design or anything

The productivity mechanic implies town has a lot of power. In post 280, Klick wrote:I think you can probably assess this setup's balance as though there is little town power at all
16:5 mountainous or close to it would be ridiculously scumsided
17:4 mountainous would... probably still be rather scumsided but that's why there's some power right?

Surely town has a lot of power, right? Otherwise it would be trivial to get 75% or more productivity.

i mean - we have very little understanding of how much productivity it takes to utilize a pr so that's just broad assumptionIn post 283, Something_Smart wrote:Surely town has a lot of power, right? Otherwise it would be trivial to get 75% or more productivity.

Sure, but bad PR's can just not use any. So there has to be some stuff that would at least be tempting to people.

I don't like Luke's and Fire's harping on mechanics on Page 2, it's dressing up something simple as an overly complex reason to vote Ircher. Ultimately it's not a productive discussion save for scum trying to rolefish, a town wouldn't want to comment on productivity. All we know is that scum night kills will probably be more on even nights.
Though I see why Yume/Ircher using the numbers so accurately and instantly guessing Mastinas intention could be construed as scummy, especially if it's scum seeing that and finding an easy reason.
Granted, it's tough to guess which side of the binary we are on. But if Ircher flips town here, the most vocal pushers go up a lot in scum equity, conversely.

uh...no? lol. 17:4 would be a more reasonable expectation tbh, especially with the multikill. In post 291, Ausuka wrote:my mind jumped to 16:5 because
that's the standard ratio? lol
what answer were you expecting
oh sorry - i forgot that closed setups where we have little information except that scum have the ability to multi-kill means that we should assume the setup is a superhigh power setup.
<(") | (")>
What we know:
- town is limited in how much of its power it can use
- this limitation grants scum extra kills
At our most controlled, we have the ability to limit the negative effects of the setup on us by just, uh, not using the power roles
Any power roles we do use also come with an unknown magnitude of negative effect on the town.
Ergo, we can evaluate the setup as though we aren't using the power roles as a ballpark reference for the overall power level of the setup.
Any power roles we risk using are a bonus that is particularly tricky and pointless to evaluate at this stage.
