Can you like explain that at all?ScumBlade's eloquent performance left me utterly disoriented, debased, depraved and sent me spiraling into a horrific murky abyss with emotional turmoil and immense despair as my only companions until slowly I suffocate in my own gloom, surrounded by failure. i think alot of malcolms posts are just... noncommittal to much scumreads..? one he had consistently was maria, but i dont give that alot of stock because it started around the time maria was the person most people wanted dead, so its simple and easy and something scum would want to make. : )
Spoiler: i think the consistent read -> lack of progression / tunneled state = scummy, no matter marias alignment. its an easy vote on a lazy slot.
i think if he was truely this confident, being like this in this sorta game is not all that helpful..? i feel like being confident in this game you could easily grasp control of the gamestate and force through what you want, but malcolms just like sidely susing her while he lets other people argue louder and drown him out. avoiding spotlight : )
while when he does get another "scumread"
the follow [1324] reads most like trying to avoid conflict on his end while defending the stance. (the "fair enough" is what reads as "avoiding conflict")In post 1311, MalcolmTucker wrote:
I'm not liking these posts from Furtive at all. I feel like town Furtive (and I think I've only ever played with town Furtive) is open-minded but also quite decisive - when they believe in a read, which they appeared to do with me, they will commit to it and try to push it to get some pressure. As soon as Frogster backs off Furtive does so too and immediately begins to sort of bargain with other players wanting to vote from them...as a style of play this just feels a bit off from what I'm used to with them in games. In post 1279, furtiveglance wrote:...
Spoiler: the whole thing here where hes like "i dont like x buuuuut theyre prob town anyways" is very annoying, buddyie, trying to "avoid conflict", etc.
this and its timing is incredibly weird imo?In post 1227, MalcolmTucker wrote:
Maybe being influenced by players I had TR'd scumreading this slot but I don't like this post at all. It feels sort of self-pitying play-wise in a way that's meant to make you feel bad for suspecting someone who claims they're just not feeling the game as town. It's pretty non-confrontational in a way you can see coming from scum who wants to seem reasonable and cooperative with everyone. Why's Greeting acting as if they're on the verge of elimination at what feels like essentially the start of a wagon here?In post 1012, Greeting wrote:Anyway, to be honest, I kinda lost the drive and willingness for gamesolving in this game. Like a baloon that has been deflating. If this new wagon on me builds up I’ll do a final readslist and then you can eliminate me, because I don’t think I’m going to do well in this particular game.
Or maybe I’m just scum who pretends to be disinterested? Up to you to decide.

Oh well you post a lot, tell me stuff
Or something like, oh you are another high poster, you say we should get this slot, so lets do this, idk why ur not getting this. Kitty wanted it when they died.
Like I guess that's the TLDR of his treatment of me and Frog's slots
There is an absence of really wanting to solve immediately, to rush things presumably for info without really developing reads or what have you's at least not ones that are said out loud.
I think it is an atypical playstyle to I would say most players.
i could see it as scummy, I could see it as towny, hence my meta comment.
Also MathBlade, do check 871 and 734 from schadd when it comes to your concerns about BCG wagon.
While you could argue that the vote wasn't really "run up" no votes actually were day 1. They were kinda split up until the last second where Alisae died (Greeting)
Get all immutable facts straight first. These are things that are true regardless of anyone’s alignment.
Get look at all VCAs to help build a narrative of the game and see if town is generally vibing with history or discordant << where I am now
Then read the thread knowing things like claims or actions/special events etc
Then I have my initial impression and my first read through is based on logic and facts rather than reading first.
I find when I ask questions first and make people examine the gamestate as a whole it has lead me to better games as I have been working on improving my town game.ScumBlade's eloquent performance left me utterly disoriented, debased, depraved and sent me spiraling into a horrific murky abyss with emotional turmoil and immense despair as my only companions until slowly I suffocate in my own gloom, surrounded by failure. early = town
later = scumvery lowcertainty for asking a question which seems unlikely to be scum motivated.
