Oh shit, I'm not down with the kids.
I feel like you should know I'm town by now? The pattern is BBT is town read, he is scum. BBT is scum read, he is town. You know how the game goes.
I feel OK that you're town as you have been a lot more direct than in our recent games in terms of engaging people and stating readsMeta this. Meta that. Meta Everything. Meta is not a good scum-hunting tool. PEOPLE CAN MANIPULATE THEIR META. Stop it. Stop. It. Now.- Grib

Still rereading the thread since I kind of stopped on page 22, saw this and think it's still super relevant. In post 597, Frogsterking wrote:
It makes the posts easier to write, it makes it easier to avoid faking interactions and it makes it easier to monitor the thread carefully and double check everything your saying. I get the sense that Solway is monitoring the thread very carefully and is being cautious in what he says and I think that combined with lurky + unusual activity in the thread in response to what's happening is more likely to come from scum.In post 596, Thestatusquo wrote:
What posts would you describe as "long catchup posts"In post 595, Frogsterking wrote:VOTE: solway
Solway is low posting scum writing longer catchup posts to try and get Townread.Lowcertainty.
And what about catching up is more likely to come from scum than town?- Aisa

Thanks, BBT. I love this and I hate this xxIn post 840, BlueBloodedToffee wrote:Aisa is town because Eira is scum if anyone is interested
I think you tr every wagon other than Solway at the moment, is that right? Want to talk to me about why you're not voting Solway yet? Or anything else, for that matter? In post 817, Bellaphant wrote:Random catch up stuff:
I've looked back at hpe and some of the wishy washyness I fel about its reads might be because of its posting style. Im not seeing what I was. I'm not loving the throwing around of votes but again it might be a style thing.
Re: bbt and lost - I was saying that in that game you collected scum reads for some fairly poor reasons, and you were town. A consensus scum read on you is a really easy place for scum to hide. I personally think you get more readable as either alingment the further we go in the game. You played with klick recently as town and he thought you were scum but by mid game I was like 'no, town'.
Re: enchant, nm and eir
I've never read nm as scum when he's town. I'm not getting that here.
Enchant is a slot I wouldn't want to elim today.
Eir I was scum reading because their posts didn't leave an impact on me, but now they've reached out I feel better.- Grib

I feel like I should include Solway's response to that post, for extra context.
Spoiler: Solway response
Here in the present, I think it's pretty clear that even though Solway isn't necessarily stuck in "long catchup posting" mode, he still isn't really engaging with the actual flow of events in the thread. And if this is the most he's able to flesh out his ideas, I don't think I'd be able to read him at all if he posted the way he normally does.- Thestatusquo

Town is way more likely to struggle to explain reads than scum is.In post 845, BlueBloodedToffee wrote:
This is just more buzzwords, you're very clearly struggling to explain this read.In post 802, HighPrincessErinys wrote:

Tbf like I have a pool of 'my read changes every time they post ', which does include you, hpe and Eir, (I don't like how's recent posting, you were really pushy about your elims in that scum game, etc) but yeah. I think voting soleay gives us a good shot at some info though, if nothing else.
.I feel like I should be getting more out of hpe's posts in particular.- Bellaphant

Or HPE, really. Solway just has the most momentum right now though, and I think his behavior as the phase winds to a close isn't indicative of a villager.
TSQ is tricky, and one I'm going to save for last because there's a chance that I'm just scumreading his playstyle. He's not someone I'd feel good about misreading and killing off.- Thestatusquo

Good scum tend to want to have justification for what they're doing. Town just throws out reads as they occur to them,
The result is that townie progression often looks way messier than scum progression. Scum players tend to not throw out reads that they can't articulate with justification because they want their progressions to look good. Townies don't care about that.
Psychologically speaking I find messiness to be way more town indicative than scum indicative. My memes are no longer relevant to the youths

That's not what I'm talking about though.
Progression on reads is a completely different thing to explaining why a read exists.
I agree with pretty much everything you just saidMeta this. Meta that. Meta Everything. Meta is not a good scum-hunting tool. PEOPLE CAN MANIPULATE THEIR META. Stop it. Stop. It. Now.- Thestatusquo

Right but what I'm saying is that when a town player just feels someone is town, they're just gunna say it, even if they can't articulate why.
At the very least, I definitely do. I'm way less likely to do that as scum. If I can't articulate a good reason for why I feel someone is townie, I'm gunna just not say anything. If that person is my partner I'm probably more likely to try to bus them than try to defend them.My memes are no longer relevant to the youths

This gets a little messy when talking about me in particular because obviously I am aware of this and purposefully try to do stuff like this as scum to match my town game, but I think a lot of people don't. I therefore tend to think that just random assertions of towniness without a real justification are just way more likely to come from town.My memes are no longer relevant to the youths
