In addition to my toneread on Mastina, I think this also makes her slot very likely town. I think scum were either on her wagon or twiddling their thumbs letting it happen. In post 3003, MegAzumarill wrote:

This is also a mastina scumpost. I believe I recall some game where she went on and on about excuses why she didn't match up to her normal self but was totally town, possibly in the absence of anyone pressing her on it.In post 1203, mastina wrote:

As scum I've tried a lifetime to not feel "off" to myself but to this day, never had a scumgame where I didn't feel 'off'. And when I can tell I am 'off' as scum, I can tell that others can tell, too.
Similarly so for as town. Like this game, I can recognize I'm not the normal town mastina but can still feel that I'm *a* town mastina and am not 'off' to a degree where scumreads on me should exist. They shouldn't.she is tonally town. I have never seen her effectively fake that in any game where I’ve played with scum!her. It’s the end of the world as you know it and we feel fine.

I'm trying to read d1 to figure out who was doing the discussion ruining unwnd was talking about.
The bunny sentiment train seemingly started with DDS (!?!?) saying they don't like bunny -> unwnd says DDS calling out bunny is a weak move -> tbone is kind of there, discussion ends.
Bunny shows up and tries to engage with the game a bit. Enchant votes bunn.
Mastina starts catching up and stalling the game. Calls bunny scum. Almost every page up until mastina's claim has a post where mastina calls bunny scum (it might be in a quote, im control-f surfing)
I think I might have been mastina's original target...? But then post claim it was too obvious that I was town. Math votes bunny saying "why not?". I vote bunny, furitive immediately opposes it. Prof votes bunny saying it has too much resistance (lol, lmao). tbone votes bunny. PPF votes bunny. Yume doesn't want to vote bunny when asked, would rather vote rat. Then votes bunny. Rat hammers after bunny posts thoughts
but from this reread, the only people who had a strong opinion that bunny was scum were prof (Dead) and mastina. everyone else just voted. thats kinda messed up.- Scarfmanship

and based on this totally out there theoryBut my theory is the mechanic is still present. As in, every day, until some sort of condition is met, two players are revealed with one revealed as not-sun and the other not-moon.
Those conditions could be anything from
-A scum player is eliminated,
-Enough phases of the game have passed (with it having been a set number, say, 2-4 reveals total),
-A player that was bathed in sun/moonlight is eliminated,
Who knows exactly.
But I don't think that it was just a D1 thing, just MathBlade and Dingle Dangle Scarecrow and nobody else for the rest of the game.
like wtfBut if my theory is right, you know what that gives scum incentive to do?
Potentially--eliminate a target.
If Past Present Future are bathed in light right now, that gives a motive for MMR to eliminate them, especially given the SOFT nature of the guilty. They're not claiming cop with a guilty where after a townflip from PPF we always kill MMR. They're claiming a soft guilty, one which is easy to talk their way out of when PPF flip town.
The reward from an elimination on a bathed target would be worth the risk of potentially (but not guaranteed) being eliminated after, would it not?
That gives incentive, that gives motive.- Scarfmanship
