This sounds like an interesting idea, if possibly very swingy. Would positions be scripted or random, or do you not want to say in public?Tarballs wrote:Lazy Neighborhood Mafia
Imagine a round-shaped area with 12 people on the perimeter. Just like a clock, with numbers 1-12 presenting the people. So everyone's got two "neighbors".- Tarballs

This may have been done before but what about "Workplace mafia". You could have the "tea lady" as a mafia poisoner, "over-enquisitive employee" could look in peoples desks to reveal their roles (cop), "the filing cabinet" could be bulletproof, etc.
Another theme that could potentially be quite interesting is Team Fortress 2 Mafia.-

I've been kinda working on a TF2 mafia. I don't have any really good ideas to give the game justice, though.CFK wrote:This may have been done before but what about "Workplace mafia". You could go for a 12 player set up with 9 (one of each class obviously) players on the RED team (pro town) and 3 players on the BLU team (who are scum)
Alternitavely, you could go for a 9 player setup with two of the classes being scum and the rest being town.
Power-role wise you could have medic for doc, sniper for vig, scout for tracker etc. or you could have more complex roles.- CFK

Something which could be interesting with the neighbours is Gossip Mafia:
You can only talk with your two neighbours, main tread only for Mod interactions, you have to find the bad part of the neighbourhood.
Boring for the Mod.
discussion restriction->hurts town
Mafia are clustered, more information->helps town

I think a TF2 mafia has been done, but I'd play it even if it was.CFK wrote:Another theme that could potentially be quite interesting is Team Fortress 2 Mafia.
If I were to run it, it'd be a case of everyone in the game is RED looking for the BLU spy within their ranks.
The TF2 classes could potentially make for an interesting setup. My Wiki Page|My Last.FM|My Steam

Would anyone be interested in playing a "Harper's Island" theme mini? The scum would be given a list of either player names or role names, and must kill/lynch these people to win. The length of the list will determine the amount of scum. The town win when all the scum are jailed (flavor wise, I'm not letting the townies lynch people and instead must send them to jail).- BridgesAndBaloons

I'm thinking TF2 should be a small town game. Possibly duplicates of roles to make it larger?Signature:

Would anyone be interested in playing a mafia game based on The Apprentice Adept series by Piers Anthony? (Split Infinity, Red Adept, Juxtoposition etc etc)
It would feature Frame shifts from Phaze (where only magic functions) to Proton (Where only Science functions) as well as a mode (method of usage) to each power. It features the Adepts, magic users that are all extremely different in flavor, citizens with access to all kinds of gadgets, unicorns, werewolves, androids, self willed machines and more (well...maybe not all in the mini, but those are possibilities)
I am currently balancing a setup to get reviewed by someone as a mini. Has anyone heard of these books?"Against logic there is no armor like ignorance."- The Fonz

Would anyone be up for
"Barenaked Ladies PresentOne Week Mafia"
Days have six-day deadlines, with the night taking up however much of the week is left. (So if game goes to dl, one-day nights).
Players are randomly assigned a voting day. By the end of that day, they must vote or be modkilled. Votes only count if placed on the correct day. Once the day is over, they are immutable.
Day ends when one player has a majority. If no majority, there will be a plurality lynch at deadline, providing there is no tie.If there is a tie, there will be nl.
So for example, on day one, two players would be voting each day.-

Haylen advises CJMiller that that is not the appropriate way to ask for help for ideas. It makes you sound arrogant, rude and a douche.Seriously. Read your role PM before playing.
I am sorry if you have to prod me, I have absolutely no concept of time.

Right now I'm designing a complex theme game: Major League Baseball mafia. There are 30 players, one for each MLB team.
The game is designed to mimic MLB management, as there will be payrolls assigned to each team and players that will appear periodically throughout the game that teams can purchase that will acquire abilities for each player -- sometimes, the players will be young and unproven, so you don't know what additional abilities you're going to get. Sometimes, they will be announced exactly what you're going to get.
Players should be fans of baseball and this game will combine the management of a baseball team with the game of mafia. Anyone interested? Anyone interested in co-modding or helping with developing the game?Copyright © MafiaScum. All rights reserved.
