Well? What should we do, then?

Several minutes have passed since the reading of Mr. Grey's letter, and five members of the group have wandered off after making vague promises that they will be at the cruise ship in the morning, even though no one has a good feeling about this. The other four are trying to decide how to pass the time.

Dweezil Zappa:

We could go bowling.

Glen Stewart Godwin:

Maybe there's a shooting range somewhere nearby. What? I find it relaxing.

Valentine Wiggin:

Actually... I just remembered that I already have plans.

Mr. Green:

You do?

Valentine Wiggin:

Yes. And... well, you see...

Dweezil Zappa:

What?

Valentine Wiggin:

None of you can come.

Glen Stewart Godwin:

What? Why the hell not? That sounds a little suspect if you ask me. And probably not safe, anyway.

Valentine Wiggin:

I can't tell you why not.

Mr. Green:

Mr. Green:

We'll just follow you until you do. You can't really stop us. Unless you want to involve the police, and we both know you won't do that.

Valentine Wiggin:

Er... oh, alright, fine. But you can't come. Really. I had just planned to meet up with some of the other girls for a sort of Ladies' Night.

Dweezil Zappa:

Ooh. Ladies' Night? Sounds fun. Count me in.

Valentine Wiggin:

Glen Stewart Godwin:

So much for Ladies' Night. The group that walks into the Sunset Strip bar consists of 4 men, 2 women, and 1 anthropomorphic personification. Most members of the group are therefore pleased when they spot Julie Newmar, apparently nursing a cocktail of some variety - the women are happy for a return to the theme of the evening, the men are happy that the odds are evened. Death picks a maggot off his skull with a bony finger. He couldn't care less. But then, he knows something the others don't.

Valentine Wiggin:

Is she already drunk?

Kelly Garrett:

Looks that way.

DEATH:

YOU COULD SAY SHE'S DEAD DRUNK. AND YOU'D BE HALF RIGHT.

The other six turn on Death with questioning looks.

DEATH:

WHAT? IT'S MY COPING MECHANISM.

Glen Stewart Godwin:

Did she drink too much? Or was she...

Randy Jones:

Worried the cops are going to be crawling all over this place soon?

Glen Stewart Godwin:

No! I just meant...

Dweezil Zappa:

It's ok, Glen. We figured it out. We aren't going to turn you in. Whatever you did, you're a part of this mess now.

Mr. Green:

We all keep running into each other for a reason. That's true. Look, we're catching a boat tomorrow to take us to our next stop along destiny's path, let's let off some steam tonight. I'll buy the first round. What should we have?

Dweezil Zappa:

Looks like they have three specials on shots tonight... Tequila, Vodka, and... "Buttery Nipple"? What is that? Never mind. I'll go talk to the bartender, see if I can get a recommendation...

Pardon me earlier...I was just remembering a joke from last night's episode of Seinfeld.

Anyhow, I'm wondering if I am supposed to know anything about which of these shots would best quench our thirst.....

I agree that CKD needs to be fired immediately. Along with the lack of communication, I've now been involved in four bizarre choices in a row, and I think everybody who offered an opinion didn't want me in this adventure.

No vote yet: Dweezil should post his information immediately.

Also, is it worth speculating why Dweezil was made the advocate?

Finally, as I've mentioned before, starting an hour or three from now I'm going to be missing for a day; if you don't hear me speak for a day, that's why.

Some substantial part of me wants to run with this information, find out if it's true, then string up Dweezil Zappa/Mighty Orbots if it's not. John Locke/curiouskarmadog better not ever be coming back, hopefully a lynch mob will find him by the end of the day, and if Dweezil Zappa/Mighty Orbots is lying, we get another scum. If he's not, we haven't lost any ground (or have gained ground).

All we know is that the tequilla is not bad. That means it's either good or neutral. IMO, all we can do is go with that information and hope we get the good. The other choices are complete shots in the dark...so I don't consider that a lot of help.

It was the order they were presented in. I had a momentary fear that those opposed to us might end the scene prematurely with no stated preference given by us (meaning we'd get the worst of all possible worlds), then I recalled that
