Mini 918 - A Hot, Steaming Bowl of Mafia

Welcome to Oatville, home to one of the largest manufacturers of oatmeal, cream of wheat, granola, and assorted porridges in the world. It's always been a peaceful town... until now.

The mafia have infiltrated Oatville in an all-out attempt to seize control of their beloved breakfast cereal operation. To them, it seemed like the perfect target -- a legitimate business operation in a perfectly harmless industryl Who would suspect cereal manufacturers of having mafia ties? To gain control of it, all they'd need to do was intimidate a bunch of milk-drinking cereal makers.

But the denizens of Oatville are far from weak. Fueled by a healthy breakfast of whole grains each morning, they're ready to fight for their factory. More importantly, they may love their breakfast, but they know this:

When the mafia's in town, mob justice is the most important meal of the day.

Game Status: Game over!

Rules:

1) Please vote in the format
Vote: Sigma
. I appreciate but do not require unvotes. No vote tricks are allowed.
2) Lynches are majority format: a simple majority of votes on a player will get that player lynched. You may also vote No Lynch. When a player has been lynched, the game goes into the twilight phase. You may continue to talk in this phase until I post the death scene and bring the game into the night phase.
3) Deadlines are two weeks, unless moderator or replacement issues require an extension. If the deadline occurs and no majority is reached, no one will be lynched.
4) Do not discuss this game outside the thread unless specifically instructed on how to do so.
5) Do not post after your death scene has been posted. This includes 'bah!' posts.
6) Do not edit or delete your posts.
7)
Do not quote my PMs, in whole or in part.
In other words, do not try and confirm yourself by including phrases from my PM, or quoting the flavor, etc. This should not happen in a Normal game, and violation is subject to modkill.
8) If you have a night action, submit it by the deadline given or no action will occur. Each night will last 72 hours. No takebacks -- the first night action I receive will be the one that occurs.
9) Please let me know if you are unavailable for more than a 72-hour period by posting in the thread and letting us know that you will be away.
10)
I will be using green this game.
Please do not use this color. Do not attempt to impersonate me. No invisible/small text either, please.
11) Players are subject to a prod if that player has gone at least 72 hours without posting. Once a prod is given, that player has 48 hours to respond before being replaced. I will try and keep on top of this, but feel free to post prod requests in thread. I reserve the right to forcibly replace players who only post things like 'Really busy, will post soon.'
12) Please address any in-thread requests to me in bold.
13) Please, please ask me if you have any questions about rules, PMs, or other aspects of the game.
14) Personal attacks, poor sportmanship, and other trollery is absolutely unacceptable and is likely to result in modkill.
15) Punishment for rule infraction is subject to my judgment. I reserve the right to modkill when the offense merits it, but this punishment will be used only when clearly deserved.
16) All flavor is strictly for entertainment purposes only. It is not relevant to the game in the least.
17)I hope everyone has fun -- this is just a game, as I hope my silly flavor text makes clear. Play nice and enjoy the game.
Vanilla Townie PM wrote:You are a Vanilla Townie. Fueled by a high-fiber diet, you're ready to take on the Mafia who have infiltrated your town. Each day, you may vote to lynch one of the other people in town. You win when all threats to the town have been eliminated.

A wagon sounds good to me. Maybe it'll even stun Locke into not lurking this game.

It's a complicated super secret algorithm. All I can tell you is that it involves the DNA map of an extinct Himalayan mountain slug and the orbital trajectory of one of Venus' moons.

If y'all want to talk Lost, will you do it under spoiler tags please?

I haven't seen the show, but all the hype has me interested in watching it.

I ought to vote the Colonel for hanging me out to dry in an ongoing game we were both in. Now I am stuck with some crazy lady in said game, but I won't mention any names.

Heh, sorry for that. Clusterfuck of Finals. Couldn't be helped. Thankfully, I have the last one on Tuesday, so I'll be free as a bird (if I'll pass it) :)

Serious vote.
How many people long for that "past, simpler, and better world," I wonder,
without ever recognizing the truth that perhaps it was they who were simpler and better,
and not the world about them?

@Mod and all: Will be V/LA this weekend (2/6-2/8), possibly a little longer due to snow moving through the DC Metropolitan area.
