Do we really NEED the search feature? I for one have never used it.

I use it quite a bit. But I
could
live without it. I guess.

Oh, I use it, but mostly for non-mission critical things (finding old games, last posts by idle players, etc). I don't personally find myself using it to find when JEEP last claimed he was never a mafia member, for example...

Would it only affect the functionality of the 'Search' link though? Because I use the Posts by Player functions quite a bit...

I use search a lot...

Space won't be an issue for a long time on the new server anyway.

Posts by player is totally different. That is 100% my code. (Which is why pagination sucks ;) )

The searchwords just tracks every post that contains every word. That's why it's big. ;)

I use the search regularly as well. Perfect for finding stuff you know is around but not quite sure where it's left.

I'd hate to see it go.

I use the search facility, if it matters.

There is a 90% chance that I'm taking a previously unexpected trip to China in the next week. If it happens this week end or very early in the week, I may recommend that we postpone the move until I'm in China. I'd like to be available in case any problems crop up. I'll know more Friday. Tentatively plan for mafiascum to be down Saturday and Sunday, but I'll give more information on Friday.

*sigh* I wrote up a status post and my computer froze. Not a good sign.

Anyway, all the parent data is loaded except some of the users table. I'll have to figure out why some people's accounts didn't get the full insert statement generated.

I can't log in, though.. it redirects me here. ;) I could "fix" it, but I don't think I will bother. When the DNS moves, that should work.

No worries MeMe.

I found out today that I'm going to China early tomorrow (even though last I checked Saturday isn't "next week sometime" !!!). Since I'll be on a plane, I can't move mafiascum.

Next week end I'll be in China, but I can probably move this.

Time keeps on slipping slipping slipping....

Well, I'm back. I am still catching up, but who knows, maybe we'll move scum soon.
