Ugghh, I don't know what to think. While I understand what Gandalf is saying, the timing seems a little strange. We still had plenty of time to try and root out scum, and if he did not feel that we were close to getting a scum then he could have outted this information.

This just seems like a huge waste of a day, and we wouldn't have accomplished anything other than preventing losing a day. I am just trying to figure this out, I don't like losing more townies than absolutely necessary.

You had 3, Count them, 3 votes when you made that claim. There was little reason to do it at that time. I doubt that you would have been a serious candidate for being killed tonight, by either side, since you were not really on null at best, and the Nacho/whoever got the smashball probably were going to go for someone else anyways. Like said this could have been done a couple of days later considering the fact that we still have nearly two weeks left.

Not to mention that the timing made no sense. If you were worried about us losing a lynch then why did you not do this Day 1, and just get it over with. That way we wouldn't be having this discussion right now. Granted we did get a scum member Day 1, but still. This just seems like a totally anti-town move by you.

But whatever, think what you want. I still think that there are better people out there to lynch, but since you want it so badly.

I'm starting to think that my lynch might be a bad idea. And by the way, exactly what's scummy about it is the whole, "I'm going to act uncertain that way when the town decides what is the smart decision, I can do that and not look like a sheep" mentality.

That makes me wonder if you have actually read my ISO, considering the fact that I have been pushing a Vezok lynch since fairly early. And don't you dare say that tanstalas, (I think) was the first to vote for him. He was just the first to put what I was saying into a 1,2,3 format.

As for the princess role, I have never played with it before, so I have no idea as to what it is/does.

And yes, I have a sit back and watch playstyle (if you think that it is scummy playstyle, then go ahead) if I find something odd then I will speak up, like I am doing right now.

And answer my question as to why you did not do this Day 1.

I was talking about your reaction to my claim. Your ISO is scummy for totally different reasons. Mainly gut. Also, I didn't do this D1 because........ well, frankly, I hadn't really given much thought to the dangers of my role. The most I had thought was that I should never ever claim.

You softclaim that you think it's best for town to lynch you, despite the fact that there's been minimal attention on you. You claim Beautiful Princess, making our best option to kill you now via lynch so we don't lose our Day. And now you're saying that you shouldn't have claimed, and even that your initial thought on getting the role is that you should never ever claim.

Well, it's too late now.

At this point, we really don't have a lot of choice other than to lynch Gandalf. I know it doesn't help us scumhunt at all, but if we let him live through the Night and he gets NKed, we lose another day of scumhunting. So, for the benefit of the town, we need to get rid of him now, last through the Night, and come back tomorrow to start all over again.

Our only other option (other than protection, which leaves the rest of us vulnerable) is to give him the Smash Ball tonight, but I don't honestly think he deserves it and we'd just have to kill him tomorrow anyways.

I'm not saying I shouldn't have claimed. Claiming was definitely necessary. I would have to toe a fine line between not being too pro-town, or mafia would NK me, and being too null, in which case I probably would have been vigged. And I don't think I'm that good. Also, just realized that thanks to the Smash Ball mechanic, in 3-player LyLo with a confirmed townie, town auto wins. As such, Nacho should be unvoted right now. Only unconfirmed, but still likely town should recieve the smash ball until LyLo.

Hey, been reading into this game, and I do say things are getting very interesting. First of all, not sure where I stand on the whole gandalf thing. Still on the fence about it, but if I had to choose at this moment, I'd let him be lynched to diffuse the possible 2 nights in a row.

Also want to point out to those suspicious of mongoose have good reason to in my mind. Been lurky a bit, goes "V/LA" to throw off the heat from him onto gandalf, and this below.

What makes you sure that he got a fake role PM? I didnt see it that way based on the mod's description of game + the fact that he claimed VT. Best way to know is to be scum.

How do you propose that we keep you alive till the final three??? Since you were "smart" enough to out your role, the best thing to do now (and *gasp* I guess I am being a "sheep" by pointing this out) is to lynch you then try and fnd the scum since we would be wasting time and effort to keep you alive.

You still haven't given a good reason to lynch me, saying look at my ISO, is not a good reason. The closest thing to being scummy may and I repeat may be the fact that I have been attacking Vezok, and no one can convince me at this point that they are not scum at this point in the game.

After that it has mostly been trying to figure out what is going on in that brain of yours, since it obviously is not coming out in your posts real well and arguing with you, because of it. This has been extremely annoying that I am scum, because you made a HUGE mistake/slip, and me not being able to figure out why you decided that that was the time to claim.

Why so? If he gets majority, day isnt over nor is he guaranteed to remain so. Correct me if I'm wrong here, but I'm pretty sure that they are independent of each other (unless we lynch the player with the most town votes atm).

Gandalf, I think that you're doing one of the two options:
1) You're putting yourself out of the way early by claiming the Princess.
2) Or you're trying to make everyone unwilling to lynch you, by claiming the Princess, when in reality you're scum.

I don't know if option 2 is really what's going on, but it's there as a possibility.

Gandalf, if we lynch you today or you get NK'ed, it won't make a difference. Here's why:
1) If you are lynched today, we lose this day to kill scum, but tomorrow we still have our day.
2) If we lynch someone else today, and you get NK'ed, then it's the same as you being lynched today, since we only lose tomorrow as opposed to today.

... Actually, these is one difference. We won't get to vote on who gets the smash-ball tomorrow if Gandalf gets lynched today.
