I mean, the players can say in thread 'I'm sending in a vote for ____' or whatever, but all the mod ever posts from what he gets is
Nobody Special (5)
Twomz (3)
Mith (1)
Not who voted for who, just who has what votes.
EDIT: Could be named 'Secret Ballot' Mafia or 'Lottery' Mafia or something"It's not a logical inconsistency. B can't be correct because then C would be, but it doesn't go the other way - there's nothing wrong with C being correct. Aside from Twomz saying otherwise." --Mith- Nobody Special

That's actually the problem I have with it, there won't be a nightkill or other night actions... no definite wagons to analyse, no 'claims' of any sort... even more of an information void than a regular mountainous. The fact that a wagon could be pushed through without the town seeing who put the votes on the end would be scary as town and might make people be more cautios about their votes and more anal about keeping track of others votes."It's not a logical inconsistency. I think the Town would try to lynch anyone who didn't announce in thread who they were voting for.CLICK HERE FOR THE ALDUSKKEL APPRECIATION PAGE

Hmmm that actually sounds very interesting. Not sure how it'd work without night kills though. Because how would the scum kill off the towniest townies, if nobody would vote for them?Show"Take me to Pleasure Town!" "Look, the most Glorious Rainbow Ever!" "Do me on it!" -

Anonymous speed hammer, although the town would know that someone who was voting for Player B switched cause the vote would go away.
Example
2nd to last vote count
Player A (4)
Player B (2)
Last vote count
Player A (5) Lynch!
Player B (1)
It's obvious one of the two people voting B moved their vote, but I don't know how the town would handle the situation. Part of the game I guess . If it doesn't seem balanced cause of the lack of NK, a couple of townies could be removed, but I thought it would be easier for the scum if there were more 'votes' to hide behind or w/e."It's not a logical inconsistency. That'd require an insane amount of mod activity though. You'd have to be online at all times, switching votes and posting vote counts and such. Not something I'd want to do.
unless I had about three co-mods running the game with me. Haha, yeah right.Show"Take me to Pleasure Town!" "Look, the most Glorious Rainbow Ever!" "Do me on it!" -

Monks and Masons enlarged?
The original was:
2 Mafia
2 Werewolves
8 Town
Randomly two sets of mason pairs were distributed. One was "not werewolf" the other was "not mafia". Therefore you could have scum masons.
I think that set-up is broken by a mass claim.
The mason triads are instantly innocent as nobody could fakeclaim that.
Then you have 6 mafia trying to fit into 4 role slots. If they distribute evenly the point to kill each mafiate is above 50:50
SCUM-IDEAL CLAIM LIST:
2 Cops (50% scum)
2 Docs (50% scum)
2 Nurses (50% scum)
5 Vanilla Townies (60% scum)
That's assuming that the scum go where they are best placed and the townies do not lie. With three (possibly more with doc, rbs and both mafias attacking one town) free lynches (killing masons who they cannot mislynch) the town are guaranteed to hit at least one scum. The cop will probably get one investigation through as the mafiates aim to block the doc to leave cop for someone else.- animorpherv1

@Twomz:
Maybe, like some Nightless games I've seen, PRs are essentially "day" versions of the PRs, where if they don't send in their action by the end of the day, they don't use it. Same goes for mafia kills."Animorpherv1's posts are so powerful that prolonged exposure may cause vertigo, nausea, acute tinnitus, and in rare cases, death." - vonflare

Voting is supposed to mean "you want to end the Day". I always seesaw on whether or not I agree on the concept of it somehow being an "informative tool" to the Town and how feasible it actually is. It's actually a game mechanic that has an effect on the outcome.
People swinging their vote to a novel scum candidate with 2 days left in the Day always irks me, and that's a case in point where people vote literally just to show suspicion and NOTHING more. Unless you think you can start an impromptu propaganda campaign within that time frame, you're best off conforming to one of the other wagons. The other one is "Okay, now that I'm not hammering, I'll bring him back to L-1".yabbaguy ~ Winning without actually winning.

Voting without people seeing the outcome seems broken. There are fairly easy ways to prove you are voting for someone (like declaring you are moving your vote and doing so), and so anybody who moved their vote without declaring it could easily reveal themselves as scum. The only time I can see it being used is to speed hammer - but even then you are drastically narrowing down the pool of suspects. Alternatively, the town could just keep a FoS counter, and agree to lynch someone (with whatever votes) when it got over 50%.- drmyshottyizsik

You're getting there. Slowly. loldrmyshottyizsik wrote:
What's the point of the 3rd party lightning rod? And why would hewantto use his ability? If he can only die via SK and lynch, he would never use his ability. Also, how does he win? Is he a Survivor or what?
Werewolves are underpowered next to the mafia faction.
Is the SK bulletproof? Is he investigation-immune? What "perks" does he have? Can the Bomb kill the SK? The lightning rod?
This game would be a NP killfest. Three kills each night, with 2 preventative roles (RB, Doc). If the SK is immune to the Bomb then the bomb only functions as a anti-crosskill device, making the werewolves even more underpowered."This is the true face of a man who plays paladin."- drmyshottyizsik

You have an interesting definition of interesting. What would you use to scumhunt, if you were in that game?bv310 wrote:
