I agree with Cow and VP, at least in the context of a Large Game (20+ players).

VIs are deadly in the endgame and at least 1 will probably make it there.

I don't consider myself VI, my posting style just ticks a few people off. The only thing I did that was stupid is switching to CSL the last day for some godforsaken reason.

Faraday and I are hard at work designing the next game. And we'd be interested in your thoughts as dedicated fans of the series. Who are your favourite characters is A Storm of Swords? What were your favourite scenes?

yeah, but doesn't Dany just cruise around on her ship watching the dragons eat fish in SoS? Or does she also conquer the slaves and rally and start building her army in SoS? I don't see how flavorwise Dany can interact continuity wise with the Westeros characters. I think charcters should be able to be banished to the wall, or have a charcter that stays the execution or can limitedly send them to the wall (or something).

Slaver's Bay is the best damn scene in the whole book. The Red Wedding is more emotional, but When Dany pwns those noobs hardcore it made me laugh so hard.

Well, this game actually reminded me how much I enjoyed those books, and incited me to re-read ASoS (and am currently in the middle of AFfC).

Arya and Tyrion have always been my favorite characters, and they didn't disappoint in ASoS. (Having played Tyrion only makes me like him more :} ) I think two of my favorite scenes are the Red Wedding from Arya's perspective, and Tywin's last sit on his "throne". Also, the fight between Beric and Sandor is pretty epic.

Other characters who I like: Lady Olenna is an awesome scheming old crone. Donal Noye kicks much ass below the Wall, though I also have a soft spot for Dolorous Edd. Dany does get more interesting in this book than she was in the previous, but she's still too removed from the action to be much more than a side trip. Her sections make me like Barristan Selmy quite a bit though. Littlefinger's plan revealed at the end just shows how much of a genius creepy bastard he truly is. And I guess Davos is pretty cool too, all honorable and whatnot.

ASoS is definitely my favorite of the books thus far. It's just so... plotty.
