Mafia Millers would simply be told their role, then would be aligned with the mafia and investigate as Mafia, i.e. a Goon. The BPs would be like Godfathers, and every other role has a scum counterrole.

No, the conspiracy nut can be mafia, if so he will investigate as such... but he would investigate as scum even if he was town cause he's a miller. If Carlin is mafia the same will occur, but if he's targeted by someone who is a miller, then he'll be 'investigation immune' mafia until the end of the game.

Shirley Temple is guaranteed to not be mafia or sk, everything else is fair game.

Roles will be assigned at random, then alignments will be assigned (2 mafia, 1 Sk, 6 town).

Setup Name: Molehill Mafia

I just ran this setup in this game. The setup is a 10:2 mountainous game, but with one modification to the vanilla/goon roles. Each player has a ranking from 1-12, and during night phases, they are allowed to target another player, making everyone a neighborizer. Anyone who targets a lower ranked player starts a QT with them. Mafia ranks can be randomized and work in any spot.

This is just a small modification to bring life back into the classic mountainous setup, a way to keep the interest in the game that is normally lost by most people who draw vanilla roles. I think this makes a good open setup, as its simple, yet still allows for heavy flavor addition for the mod while sticking to a setup that is balanced. A good inbetween setup for the open and the theme games.

I just had an interesting idea...

Insanity!
  • 3 Mafia Goons
  • 8 1-shot Cops of varying sanities. (randomly chosen, independently: 35% sane, 35% insane, 15% naive, 15% paranoid)
  • 1 Psychologist (tells you the sanity of cops. If a mafia member is targeted, a random sanity is returned (with the same chance as with role assignment))
NIGHT START
On hiatus indefinitely. This was a nice distraction when I was working through my faith transition out of Mormonism, but I need to move on to bigger and better things now.

I know it's weird given the username, but "horrorperson" just doesn't have the same ring to it.

mafiaTwo Mafia black mailers- At night they get to choose one person to black mail, thus turning the person they black mailed into mafia with them.
If the mafia party how three people and it is night, then after the after the mafia chooses who to blackmail, they then also choose which of their members to kill(cannot being the same as th person black mailed)

Reminds me of Xylthixlm's Infection.
The town will automatically lose if the mafia can indefinitely replenish their numbers (up to 2) after they are lynched... so I guess drm means that they must always die when they recruit. But still, that's going to be much harder than 2:10 vanilla.

Or a rule could be put in place saying that the mafia could not recruit on the night of a successful lynch (but they could still return to 2 if they force a mislynch or NL after that)
