Time to comment on some recent developments. First, Seacore, whose wagon somehow found new life.

Seacore placating his own lynch is all kinds of bizarre. Don't like it.

This whole development was strange. First, Fate comments about bussing Seacore, and totallynotmafia suspects it may have been intended for the cult QT, so he votes Fate to see a reaction, or so he explains it. So far so good. Close to half an hour later, Seacore responds, as he should, since the slip implicated him as well as Fate. Finally, totallynotmafia jumps to Seacore, breathing new life into his wagon.

I can see why someone might find Seacore placating his own lynch as weird, but I have defended myself as town in pretty much the same way. I can concede someone having reasonable cause to suspect me and live with it, it is the irreasonable causes that annoy me and get me on the defensive. This could be the case with Seacore here, as well. I'm not sold about him being anti-town. I have noted his tendency to get drawn into arguing with Furcolow though. I can understand the temptation, I get it too, but it is really not productive. I think trying to get Furcolow riled up would be too obvious a ploy for the cult to try, particularly at this stage when pretty much everyone believes Furcolow is town.

Where did this come from? Only a few posts before this I said that I had not seen Andrius explicitly claim whether he heard noise.

I don't remember who, but someone quoted Andy's post where Andy said he heard Reaper's mother having sex in the bushes or something like that, and assumed that meant he heard noises. I agreed, and updated as such.

Yeah, that was me, in post #640. About two and a half hours before you posted Andrius had not heard noise in your list. I don't remember anyone else mentioning that. Also, unless you meant your personal notes, I've not seen your update.

I have really liked xvart's more recent posts though, but this ward thing is hard to get over.

I've liked xvart's recent contributions better as well. The ward thing is actually one reason I'm not voting him. Both Baby Spice and xvart look suspicious, but one of them probably did actually ward MoI. Both of them making the same false claim would be a really long shot, and I've been wondering lately about a possible Baby Spice/Plum connection.

RC is totally 100% pure town.

If you are so sure, why are you not defending him with proper arguments? Your word alone does little to influence my opinion of him... though I've not yet really formed my opinion, I will have to read ReaperCharlie's posts to see where this wagon is coming from.

This is probably gut, but it's not giving me good feelings.

This paragraph in #779 is beautiful. And overall I get the awesometown feel from most if not all of #779.

The two statements can not mutually survive. You are stating both. You need to pick one. You've essentially also done exactly what you're accusing LB of being scummy for, as you've contradicted your own read. Just you're not a hydra, so you don't even have that cop out.

Which was why I keep asking people if it's in character for him as town to shamelessly kiss up to people and make terrible cases, and no one ever answered me! (Faraday thinks he's always a bit dense and obnoxious.)

Omigod. I am so tempted by the ReaperCharlie wagon (and infinitely prefer it to a Seacore wagon). But I have to be entirely honest. If I voted for him, it would really only be because I hate his guts and every post he's written so far has made me want to fly into a murderous rage. My sanity would improve with him out of the game. I actually got town vibes from his post asking us to listen to his suspects, even though I disagree with almost every single one of his reads.

What's the cult slip, anyway? I missed it.

I'm quite confident that Seacore is town. He's almost up there with Fate and Furcolow. And I hated nopointinactingup's first post, but I agree with Faraday that SSBF's last post before replacing out (with how he volunteered his last reads) looked very townish, so our read on the slot is town.

I've flipped on AV because he just KEEPS ON TRYING to take singlehanded credit for being THE VERY FIRST to say Furcolow was town...no, to give REASONS for why he's town...scratch that, to GIVE GOOD REASONS for why he's town. (Actually, I was the very first person in the game to say that Furcolow was confirmed town. I totally want town cred for that, even though our vote was on him at one point.) Also, I found his attack on Seacore opportunistic and forced. I thought Seacore's reasons for not voting and doubting his reads on me and Baby Spice came across as very honest, and it's so easy to pseudo-scumhunt by attacking something like that.

As for Baby Spice, I think someone mentioned this already, but I didn't like how she suddenly came to the conclusion that Furcolow was a VI after thirty pages, once the wagon on him had fizzled.

I'm forgiving nopointinactingup at the moment because, assuming he's reading through chronologically, he hasn't got to my answers for some of his concerns. But yeah, I had the same initial reaction as you.

Also, in regards to RC's cult slip, I think that's been mislabelled, unless I've missed it as well. I think it refers to his comment about not knowing how ritual/fetishes work. It's not a slip, I think it's a deliberate attempt to look investigator.

If there's a slip, I haven't based any of my case on it and I'd like to see it.

Trilobyte’s 1085 is my exact problem with Seacore. Advocating lynching someone who MIGHT be a murderer 5 days from now doesn’t seem like a very solid tactic.

Let’s clear up a few things about this before it gets any more inaccurate.

1. Do I believe Furc is 99.9999% Town? No way in hell. I think, based on the Noises evidence, his clear lack of focus, and Percy’s debatable answer regarding ambiguity that I don’t see evidence based on Furc’s mind-boggling play that he is Cult. I’m willing to ignore his bad play for the moment.
2. Was it your arguments that swayed me? No, not really. Hito’s argument laid out the case first. What you said that triggered my change was pointing out that Ward in SAII caused the performer to hear noise. I had been operating under the incorrect assumption that Ward did not operate that way in SAII. When you made it clear it did I double checked the facts. Thus my change of read on Furc’s actions to regular VI.

2. I am fine w/being lynched, as long as the town KILLS who I want them to kill after I die.
3. Whoever is citing town-RC vs scum-RC meta needs to clean out their brain housing group. You're saying that I'm always useless as town and always super pro-town and "try to lead the town" as scum.

ISO 4/5 – Call’s xvart’s list sexy but then backtracks to agree with Triglav that is looks like obv-scum trying to earn Town cred but he “doubt’s xvart will be today’s lynch.
ISO 6 – Votes Benmage and fans the flames of the early conflict between Ben / Fate.

ISO 46 – FOS of Hito for the whole graverob scenario. Note that he distances himself from the suspicion by saying “which will probably earn me a few tomatoes in the face”. If Town why would you worry that your suspicion was wrong and immediately distance yourself?
ISO 51 – Buddies up to SSBF for post 779, and welcomes him to his ‘group’. Why does 779 override the issues he addressed in his previous posts about SSBF in ISOs 19 and 42?
ISO 56 – Another argument that Furc’s posts have been useful in ‘a number of ways’. No explanation of what a single way is.
ISO 57 – Responds to Trig’s questions about his inconsistent views on Hydra’s with a pic and a statement to not impugn his honor.
ISO 58 – Votes once again for Seacore. With the same reasoning (hint .. it’s rhetoric).

I think I can see where people are coming from, a lot of his posts don't appear to be helpful to town but I've played with RC before when he was scum and he went hell-for-leather attacking me after I accused him, and I haven't really seen that here. If anything like I said before I think he may be an investigator who stalked last night.

Anyway i want people to start explaining their town reads (or point to where they are if I've missed them) eg: Fate on Seacore, Spyrex on Fate, ElGoosuki on RC....wait....

I've already softclaimed why I think Seacore is town. There is no longer a need to out this information, except maybe down the road as a "I TOLD YA SO" especially given Seacore's recent play, it should no longer matter what I have a town read on him.
