I like the currency mechanic. For mafia, it could be based on starting wagons and getting non-mafia to join it. +1 point for the 3rd voter, +2 for L-1, and +3 points for getting a hammer on a wagon the mafia started. You could also throw in +1 point for bussing and -1 point for hammering.

Then for town, each player would get +5 points if nobody ever puts a vote on them.

Poisonous Mafia3 Mafia Poisoners
1 Poison Neutralizer
1 Doctor
1 Watcher
6 VTs
NIGHT START

Poison kills the following night. Poisoning is a factional power.
The Poison Neutralizer can prevent a player from being poisoned. (The night the poisoning happens)
The Doctor can only save a player that has already been poisoned. (The night after the poisoning happened)


INSANITY V23 Mafia Goons
8 1-Shot Cops of varying sanities. (40% sane, 40% insane, 8% naive, 8% paranoid, 4% random)
1 Psychologist (they investigate the sanity of cops. At the beginning of the game, mafia get to choose what sanity they will appear to be)
COP HEADSTART- with a compulsive investigation. Goons choose their fake sanity and fake result during this time.
I assume everyone will claim their result on day 1, so the Psychologist is recommended to come up with a fake result during pregame, so he won't become the instant target of the mafia.
On hiatus indefinitely. This was a nice distraction when I was working through my faith transition out of Mormonism, but I need to move on to bigger and better things now.

I actually kind of like Beefster's idea. It would make people be a lot more careful about votes. Likely, the town would decide on FoS lynches before any votes were laid down.

Beefster's allows for MASS point gaining, which could mean everyone as a Vig/Cop etc.
Breakage.

Just having X amt. of points and gaining 1 a night or something is fine. You should check out Trader Mafia in that regard

I'm thinking each player gets a certain amount based on role, then get to spend their points on either votes/actions during the day, or buying skills at night. Maybe do something like the item system from L4D mafia, but for bonus cash.

I think my townie point earning should be revised.
-So for hammering scum, you could get +3 points
-For having no votes on you, you get +2 points.
-If you hammer someone with a power role, you lose 1 point.
-If you are put at L-1, you lose 1 point

-As a global power, you can give 1 of your points away to someone else, in addition to your normal powers.
-If you buy a power, you can't use it until the following night. (or day in some cases)
-You may have any number of powers and you can sell powers at half price (rounded down).
-You cannot use more than one power in a day/night cycle.
-Most power roles would cost at least 3 points.

Currency would make for an awesome theme game.

During the night, every player is offered the option of putting themselves on the Volunteer List. The scum may only choose their kill from players who are on the list. If there are no volunteers, then the scum may choose from any player in the game.

In the morning, the Mod will share the list of all the players who volunteered the last night.

Or the scum put themselves on the list too. Shotty, neither of those are good ideas for Open games. Why don't you try running one of your setups first, then bring it here if it works?

Anyway, for that one, the game'll be over within two nights, ESPECIALLY with the Cop/Deputy setup.

Ditch the hider and mafia bus driver. Also forget making the GF bulletproof.

UPON THE STAGE MAFIA

10x Actors (Townies)
2x Bad Actors (Mafia Goons)

This game plays out like a standard Lights Out, with the additional town handicap that after the first lynch no discussion other than votes can take place. Not sure what the appropriate sucmteam size is for this, or what PRs would work for town. I think it would work nicely as mountainous though.

Well as actors can't hammer I don't think it can work as only scum could hammer. :/
