Yeah, on the old forum, I made it so that it could only be set by someone with database access. It was briefly settable by admins, but that mod broke at some point.

This should be easy enough to port as a user setting (the way it used to be). Having it set by topic owner should be doable.

I remember seeing a forum that displayed thread views (or maybe thread replies, idk), but when you clicked the number it showed you a list of who had posted in that thread and how many times. I think that would be handy to quickly get a game post count without having to look at each player in iso.

Getting a count of how many times each person posted in a topic should be relatively straightforward. I think there used to be a mod on phpbb.com that did this for 3.x.

Also, would it be possible to indicate original post numbers somewhere in iso? So that I can look at iso24 and know it is #342 without navigating?

I was thinking about overloading the subject field with the post number and not allowing it to be edited. It could lead to skips if posts are deleted, though.

I am currently modding a large theme game that's in night. I had to open the thread to edit my OP and post to inform the game that I found a replacement. I forgot to relock the thread afterwords and a player posted in thread. I am unable to delete these posts and it's something I find reasonably important to be able to do. Is there something that can be done about this?

That they did. And on my boards, I had neither the time nor the inclination to deal with that kind of programming.
Luckily, I don't need anything nearly as specific as Mafiascum does, or I'd be tearing my hair out. Frequently.


Also, I am adding to the wish list (not quite sure if it's here yet) the ability to (when in "posting" or "reply" mode) to be able to quote not a post, but just the link to the post, if you can find it in the Topic Review section.

i.e. When you click "quote", it'll quote the post into your reply wherever your cursor is at the moment. I'd like you to be able to click "quote iso #" and it'll display something like the following:

It'd certainly make guys like me happy, and it'd save me a lot of time when quotewalling.

  there's a bad interaction between comment tags that leads to a trailing tag showing up on the Quick Reply box. It doesn't happen on every page, however... may be because of an oddly-compiledBBcode.

Enabling single-logon between the phpBB forum and the wiki, allowing us to do away with/curtail anonymous editing

How about an option like an iso that ONLY shows text in between VOTE: tags and who posted them? I don't know if that'd be too much work, but it'd be helpful.

Some sort of more automated signup process, that takes into account flaking, site-wide game limits, signup throttling, and baking cakes for starving children in Africa.

I wonder if there's a way to have php calculate the actual pixel-length of a username, and flag it if it's too long to display properly?
