Put yourself in Ythan's shoes. He doesn't know my alignment. He defends me. Because townies tell the truth.
From his perspective, and yours, two things can happen.
(1) When I flip town, he'll be confirmed. Pretty much. Because this far in the game, he wouldn't defend me if he were scum.
(2) Were I to flip scum, he's a dead man walking NO MATTER
