IDK about this.
Misslynch D1 and town NK by both Werewolf and SK and werewolves has won D2. Need more town roles.
What if Werewolves only win if they're the only faction rather than by endgaming? That way they would have to lynch the SK.
Werewolfs would still control 50% of the votes if there is a mislynch D1 and just NK on town players. If either a townie/SK votes a non-werewolf, they could just wagon that vote and still win that game.
2 Wolves; 1 SK ; 1 Townie
Townie lynched: 2 Wolves, 1 SK
1 Werewolf: 1 SK
No Lynch: 1 Werewolf; 1 SK
1 SK

Serial Killer wins.

This discussion has made me think though so.

If there is Seer Head Start N0, that I think that this might be balanced.
Hoping to make a comeback to mafia soon...

4 Townies
1 Inverse Lynchee
1 Inverse Lyncher

Inverse Lyncher knows their Inverse Lynchee. Inverse Lyncher wins if their target is alive at the end, even if they are dead.
Inverse Lynchee wins if they are alive and it's impossible to lynch them (1 townie left or 2 townies and inverse lyncher alive). They don't know who the inverse lyncher is.
Townies win if they lynch the inverse lynchee.

EV for town is 47%, which is higher than one would expect based on comparing it to other setups.
Looks good.

Why not? The town is trying to lynch an informed minority who wants to avoid being lynched.

Think this is obvious based on the numbers but scum don't have an NK.

1x
Mafia Redirector PGO Enabler

2x
Goons

1x
Innocent Child 1-Shot-PGO

2x
Sane Cops

8x
Vanilla Townies

Innocent Child 1-Shot-PGO is a hybrid role, that is announced as confirmed town as soon as Day 1 starts. This role also has a passive 1-shot-PGO ability at night. If the PGO uses it's shot, it defaults to a standard Innocent Child from then on.

The Mafia Redirector PGO Enabler is also a hybrid role, that has the ability to redirect the cops (if they use their action) to a player of their choice. In the event of the Redirector dying, the PGO ability of the IC-PGO gets disabled meaning it can be nightkilled safely. Cops will not be told if they've been redirected.

~~

The point of this set-up revolves around the dynamic of the PGO interactions - cops need to weigh up the risk of using their action (and when to claim), as using it then makes them vulnerable to be redirected to the PGO. This set-up also rewards scum for role-fishing and clever powerrole hunting. It is a 14 player game to ensure that a successful cop redirect doesn't cost town a mislynch, enabling the game to always have a 4 mislynch/3 lynch mechanic, which reduces some of this swing this sort of set-up inevitably will produce. The disabling aspect of the Redirector is also there to reduce swing, as that role dying means scum aren't screwed by having to deal with a PGO any more.

I've thought about this for a bit - I think it is within the realm of balance, and I've implemented a couple of measures to reduce swing. Cops will have to play very well to avoid the NK, lynch and redirection, if they want to be influential, which is why I've included two. It gives town more chance at a couple of investigations, increases the chances of the PGO being used, and also gives scum a fakeclaim option D1/D2 is none of the cops are outed yet.

No Vanilla Crazy Mafia

Town
X2
Rival Psychiatrists
X1
Methodist Priest
X1
Puritan Preist
X1
Double Voter
X1
One-Shot Failed Kidnapper
X9
Restless Spirits

Third Party
X2
Selfish Psychopaths

Mafia
X1
One-Shot Executioner
X1
One-Shot Poisoner
X1
Spirit Crusher

Special ROLES!

Rival Psychiatrists
- Every night, the Psychiatrists each target one person. If they target one of the Psychopaths, the Psychopath is cured and becomes a regular Townie. Neither Psychiatrist becomes a normal doctor until both Psychopaths are either dead or cured.
If both Psychiatrists target the same Psychopath then the Psychopath is not cured.

Selfish Psychopaths
- Functions as a normal SK, but can be cured.
Also if the two Psychopaths target each other or target the same person, then they kill each other instead of the town member dieing. If the Psychopath kills the same person as the mafia does, then the Mafia Member who pm's the mod and the Psychopath dies, but the town member lives.
They can only claim that they are Restless Spirits.
Methodist Priest
- Can't hammer
Puritan Priest
- Can only hammer
Failed Kidnapper
- Functions as a normal Kidnapper, but the person they Kidnap can still vote.
Restless Spirit
- If this person is lynched then the next day phase, they can not post(they are dead), but they can vote once.(PM the Mod) If they are NK'd the are only dead.
Spirit Crusher
- Each night they send in a choice for who they think will be lynched, if that person is lynched and is a Restless Spirit, then the restless spirit doesn't get a vote the next day.

Ok, Shotty.
The only thing I have time to say right now is that you're not designing OPEN games.

I haven't looked at it to balance it for actual BALANCE, but that is NOT an OPEN game.

Because the scum can't fakeclaim well enough.
The Methodist and Puritan can be proven by their actions. Aka, confirmed town. Same with doublevoter.

tehehe yes, I kinda wish I had your role. But the priest can't prove anything. And the scum could fake claim spirits, or priests.

But inevitably, anyone who claimed priest would be asked to prove that their vote is invalid if used as hammer/not hammer.

There are also three completely confirmable townies AND a fourth one since you'd have to be pretty stupid to counter-claim the kidnapper unless you're in LyLo as the last scum left(as otherwise identity could be proved, since the kidnapper would have to be stupid to use his ability for anything but confirmation.

Yeah you can. They can make the methodist hammer, and if the vote doesn't count, then they're telling the truth, and vice versa for the puritan.
