Scum is mafia, werewolf, serial killer, cult. Anything that wants to kill the town (as a whole). Lyncher and jester are iffy.

I've always classified scum as having a win-con that is to the detriment of town.

Lynchers and Jesters don't classify under this because their win-con isn't to kill town.

Well, that's a new definition for me. Generally, I just equated scum to mafia and nothing else.
SK is like a survivor with a kill, though.

And SK's can be helpful to town.

Lynchers typically want to kill a townie, which is bad. And all non-town factions are a distraction; even if they don't want to kill the town, they aren't motivated to help the town either.

SKs are not survivors. At an endgame with, say, 6 town and 1 survivor, all 7 win. SK is more like a lone mafia member. He has to kill those 6 townies.

If anyone cares, I lied about a few things in my roleclaim. My ability only worked if someone targeted me with a non-killing ability and only worked on one ability per phase (ie if two people targeted me, only one would get roleblocked). My idea was to try and become an "unkillable" confirmed town but it didn't exactly work...


Also /pre-in for WoW mafia if it's going to be anything like this. This was fun.
