Percy, does a person gain an Insanity from being Resusitated, even if they die anyway? All actions resolve simultaneously, so he would gain the side effects of aResuscitateaction resolving on him even if he was also killed.
The deadline for today's lynch is Thursday, 3 February 2011 at 11:00:00 PM (default site time).
With 14 alive, 8 votes secures a lynch.Stars Aligned III continues!- Iecerint

OK guys, so now I officially have Solist from last night, and I have forsaken the Resus Kit I was holding while keeping the Forensics Kit I also had.
So that is that.- Nicodemus

What did everyone think of Andy's buttload of buddying he did with Vas yesterday? It looked a little like overkill to me, as in he was setting Vas up to look like a buddy after he flipped, but I've never played with Andrius before so I'm not sure. Is buddying up to townies typical of Andy-scum?
Looking at the playerlist I'd say kunk and Nacho both have a very good chance of being scum. After that I'd say Trilo and either Vas or Triglav (pending info about Andybuddying) round out my top 5.Ythan, on my play: "Scummy and bad are not the same. They buddy in every game. It is because they are bros 4 lyfe. AFAICT. VDV can correct me.
They are scum together sometimes but it is just the background probability.- Nicodemus

Oh, and maybe Feysal as well. He's been pretty town overall, but it still bugs me that he scanned me the same night I was passed a fetish. Yes, he could have actually scanned me, and it was just bad luck that my insanity went up right before. His explanation did look solid on this front. But I really just don't see the utility of passing anti-town me a fetish so late in the game, when it was pretty obvious that I was going down soon anyway. To me it looked like a "nail in the coffin" sort of investigation, where all I needed was one thing to take me from lurker to scummy, and then I'd be lynched. I mean honestly, who would have believed me if I hadn't res'd Seacore? And then when I came up with 2 insanities, everyone would shake their heads at the bad luck of it all.
Anyway, I'm not saying it's a sure thing, because as people have said nothing in this game is straightforward, but I'm definitely keeping my eye on him.Ythan, on my play: "Scummy and bad are not the same. Some players manage to keep them separate, though I applaud how masterfully you blend them."- Nicodemus

@Ice: Yeah, that's kind of what I figured. Okay, scumlist for now then:
Andrius
kunkstar
Nacho
Trilo
Feysal
I convinced myself after making my previous post. Definitely more suspicious to me than Triglav anyway.Ythan, on my play: "Scummy and bad are not the same. Some players manage to keep them separate, though I applaud how masterfully you blend them."- VP Baltar

Ok, I've been thinking about it and judging upon BS and Spyrex flipping with 5 and 4 insanities, and Andrius claiming 5 insanities, I think our best bet for catching cultists with Suicidal is to begin our testing from the people with the lowest claimed insanities. My guess is that Andrius, BS and Spyrex were shouldering a majority of the burden with the rituals up until they started to get lynched. At that point it probably shifted to the scumbags that were not taking the insanities before. I think those may be the players that would take an insanity like Suicidal early because it's easily hidden and then later if they have to ritual they could take something like Twitchy, having claimed it early without detection.
If there are any scumbags hidden out among the more protown players, I also think they are more likely to have taken suicidal because they wouldn't feel as likely to be run up to L-1 and be lynched. So, looking at xvart's insanity list, we may want an order something like:
Vas
Trilobite
Triglav
kunkstar
Iecirint
Feysal
VP Baltar
I think that's everyone who is not confirmed town or already has suicidal, but if I made a mistake and didn't include you, speak up....oh wait, Nacho needs to go on there somewhere. I don't know how many insanities he has. Also, I guess we could throw TNM and Nicodemus on there for good measure if people are actually worried about them being faking cult. In that case, the list would look like:
TNM
Nicodemus
Vas
Trilobite
Triglav
kunkstar
Iecirint
Feysal
VP Baltar
Of course, since I'm suggesting this plan and my name happened to come up on the bottom due to my crushing insanity level, I'm also happy to go first just so people don't think I'm trying to dodge the bullet here. Thoughts?YOUR AD HERE- Trilobite

I'm a bit concerned about someone trying to slip in an "accidental hammer. Hito's plan to counter that seemed OK, but as an alternative to it, I propose we establish a voting order for each player. Basically a list of players to vote said player we want to test up to lynch -1 with the understanding that you DON'T VOTE OUT OF TURN. This method should make it obvious that anyone who actually drops a hammer is not town.
Also the player placing the lynch -1 vote would do so and then unvote in the next post immediately thereafter.
Basically any one person can post an order and we simply follow the first order posted.- Trilobite

I think we should lynch andrius and test suicidal tomorrow.
1) Suicidal is slightly risky, there's always the chance we mislynch somebody (it's low, and it means people are being stupid or openly scummy but still)
2) We already have a good lynch today, best case scenario is that testing can give us another one.
3) We still have a shit load of people and testing it is still cumbersome
3 alone wouldn't discourage me, but when there's no concrete gain to it, I think we should wait.- xvart

I think the best bet is to organize people into two blocks of voters. The big group of people that pile on and then the smaller, more active group, that will only vote once everyone else has piled on. This will minimize the random aspect while also not making it so strenuous to voting in order. Everyone else does not vote at all. Andy should be lynched before we do this, yes.I only read quote walls.

We can make a proven town player be the L-1er. And someone competent. That way, both those concerns are dealt with.
It's not a total loss to wait to test it since we'll definitely lynch correctly today, though.- Nachomamma8

Slacking is slacktastic.
I have to edit my post a little bit because of REVELATIONS over the night, but it won't be a 5 day delay in coming like last time >.>"Playing with Nacho is like playing with a religious conservative." ~UncertainKitten

I missed this post. This is actually an extremely good point. Andy is mischievous.Trilobite wrote:Though given that Andrius could openly try to mess with any plans to test suicidal, we should probably lynch him today and test tomorrow.
Thoughts?
