I'm creating a Grand Theft Auto Mafia and was wondering if anybody would be willing to look over the roles (and flavor) once I've finished with it? It'd be quite helpful. Thanks.

Still have some ideas bouncing around for 999 Mafia, might drop the item-mechanic though. I'm right on the brink of an epiphany that will make everything work. :|

I am currently working on an original game with flavor taken from the Salem Witch trials.

Kinda.

Sorta.

Not really.

But it takes place in a similar setting, drawing on a lot of demon lore. Experimental roles and mechanics are sure to follow.

Any interest?

Out of curiousity would anyone be interested in the following?
Chuck Mafia
Glee Mafia
Company Mafia (the sondheim musical)
Shakespeare Mafia (or various games based on his individual works)

(if any of these have been done feel free to let me know. I know Kyle99 was designing a chuck mafia but it was never run.)

@Seraphim: I'd definitely play that.

So I'm working on a new Death Note mafia, and since I lack experience, I'd really appreciate someone helping me make a balanced set-up.

Help received.

In The Court of The Gods

Zorasterland has three living and immortal gods. Each is served by five mortal high priests. On all matters put in front of the court, the gods consult with their personal priests and make their case to the court. Both the priests and the gods each have one vote with a majority deciding any matter put before it. For centuries, this system has led the people of Zorasterland in peace and prosperity.

Until now.

It has become clear that one of the immortal gods has decided he wishes to rule alone. To do so, he has corrupted several of the high priests (although not necessarily his own). Their plan is simple: kill off enough priests that The Corrupt have a majority of the vote in the Court and can banish the other gods from Zorasterland.*

Those standing in opposition to this nefarious plan must come together to stop this evil.

*Notwithstanding this, a stand-off still goes to scum.
-----
OUTLINE:
1. There are three immortal gods that cannot be killed or lynched. Two are good and win with the town. One is evil and wins with the evil faction.

2. The evil faction wins when all good mortals are eliminated. The good faction wins when all evil-doer mortals are eliminated.

3. ONLY the immortals may chat as normal within the regular game. Everyone else may only vote, confirm a vote, unvote, go on V/LA, or post to correct a vote count.
Removed

4. Gods and mortals alike each have one vote unless they have a power otherwise granted to them.

5. Each god has 5 followers. The immortal and his followers may consult via PMs as they wish.

6. Each follower will be in at least one QT with other followers. Gods will not have a QT (except the evil immortal who will have scum daychat).
Removed

7. There are an unspecified number of evil-doer mortals. They will be distributed RANDOMLY (i.e. they will not all be the high priests of a particular god).

8. If you wish to be one of the three immortals, you must say as much in your sign-up post. I will choose who the gods are, but who is scum and who is town will be chosen randomly.

There are some extra obligations if you are an immortal:
The hope is that you like to lead games, scum hunt, and are generally very active. As such, you are obligated to be an active participant. Lurking, active or passive, will not be tolerated in the gods. As a god, you have an addition obligation to make the game FUN, not just win. If you don't want to be held to this, don't offer to be an immortal god

SUMMARY:

18 person game, 3 players who cannot die or be lynched, one of whom is scum.

I know this has been done before, but how does everyone feel about a Webcomics Mafia? I'm thinking of putting one together based on my own preferences / favorites.

Awesome. I am in the process of designing it now and will probably be in the mini theme queue once my open is finished.
I haven't decided how far into the series to take it... possibly looking at just season 1 since that is as far as I have gotten (though I have seen it several times). I will have to wait and see how long it takes me to get through seasons 2 and 3 (I may make seperate games for each)

Not a lot to read of either game thanks to a site crash and a mod abandonment, but all I can say is obey Stoofer's 4th Law.

War in Heaven III is coming this year. When should I do it, spring, summer, or fall? This will be a Large Theme game, obviously. Deadlines and such should run comparative to the last one, so it'll last somewhere between 3 days and 3 months, I'm guessing.

Size is up for grabs (possibly indefinite, if mith buys my plan).

I'd say summer or fall, because I'm going to be in hiatus for the entirety of spring and I want to play this. (Also, I'm currently planning on running a Large Theme incorporating hurt/heal-based mechanics in early-mid summer, so you might want to take that into consideration.)

Ahem.

Mr. Mothrax, I would certainly have an interest in playing the game you have described above.

Can I be Robert? If not, how about Joanne?

Amy? (I can do the song!)
....what?

Choir Mafia.

All posts (INCLUDING votes/unvotes and the mods') must be made in song. May be set to music. PMs to the mod may or may not have to be in song. A few ideas I have for power roles would probably be the Conductor (silencer), an Accompanist (this could be played several ways: roleclaimed/watcher/beloved princess), and a possible Blatant Sour-Note Singer (miller/hated townie/lightning rod[?]).

Just a thought in process, really. I've no idea what to do with it.
With a win record of 0-1, I'm officially the worst player on here.

^^ That sounds fucking epic and I want /in if you do that.

I have modded over at other boards and I did a Dexter (Showtime drama) game that I liked, but would like to get tweaked by reviewers here before posting it here because diff. boards are diff.

I am also looking forward to hosting a Breaking Bad game, if interest is up.

These will have to wait awhile, though, because I just joined over here and want to get a couple of games under my belt to get a feel for the forum.

If you're interested in Dexter and/or Breaking Bad games, though, I'd like to hear. They'd be large theme.

Yume Nikki Mafia. I'm thinking 24 players, each one being "[effect] Madotsuki". Do people know this game?
