At risk of getting shouted at for OMGUS, I name names which I attempted to merely imply earlier. Okay, so D1 we had a couple pretty good wagons, most notably Hiraki and (to a lesser extent) KageLord. Suddenly Mist comes along and starts trolling, making it very very obvious she just wants to screw over the town, and a few players, most notably Hiraki and SensFan, suddenly start up a Mist wagon, which every gullible townie happily jumps onto (frankly I'm astounded some people I had pegged to be sensible, like Llama, sotty, and especially Mariyta, jumped on that wagon). And now, what's this? The one player who consistently attempted to shoot down the wagon on the obvtown cop who got mislynched over the obvscum Hiraki is being attacked by the same group of people (Hiraki and SensFan, plus Lowell but I think Lowell is less scum and more VI since I've seen him play like this as VItown before). Do I have spell out P-A-T-T-E-R-N to you?

Two problems with your logic.
First of all,

Sens is a known Policy Lyncher

, thus his push to lynch for idiocy rather than scumminess is null (not to mention that the claim was ridiculously overpowered and obvious bullshit).

Naw. I was an early proponet for the Jason lynch. As much as it pains me to say so Wraith DOES have a decent point about Hiraki + his beginning of day 2 calling us all idiots is super dumb.

I'll have to review more of Wraiths game but from what I remember of him he's a bit more lurky and I don't really remember him posting cases or aggressively defending himself. So that's why I voted Wraith.

Tradgedy's potential coaching of Mist doesn't sit well with me and I don't get her "gambling her life" post.

Mari agreed with me twice yesterday, just not used to it probally means nothing though.

The only way you'd really EXPECT scum to attack the VI replacing in here is if pretty much all the leading candidates are scum.

I really don't know how to feel about this. I was hoping my simple vote would really put the pressure on, as I felt Jason was far and away the scummiest player of D1. What we get is the same amount of content day1 with a claim that falls somewhere between overly-defensive/paranoid and satisfyingly safe/preemptive. Without a counter I seems pretty hard to argue against the claim, but I would like these hints referenced. Overall I still don't like it, but that gets too far into guessing the design/flavor to be worth banking on.

Interesting idea, but I still don't get the Deer kill. There were other people that went after Hiraki that were much more active about it than Deer. We've told you VIs can be scum too. No doubt if you'd been in NY111, you'd have defended ksun with the exact same reasoning, and he was scum. Plus, mist was a SCUMMY LOOKING VI. Newbies don't generally have alts- they tend to belong to people who've been around a while- and I don't really know anyone who's THAT MUCH of a VI except shotty, and the posting style don't match. So this gave me the impression that mist was faking. Plus, when she said she was going to 'stop trolling and play the game' she came out with a post with a ton of fluff and IIoA. This is also legitimately scummy. As far as I'm concerned, in order to suffer a VI to live, they have to give you reason to think they're more likely than average to be town. And I got the opposite reaction off of mist: she seemed more likely than average to be scum.

It seems notable that you attack the people who really seemed to believe her to be a good lynch and expended effort to achieve it rather than those who looked to have jumped the wagon later without adding anything or associating themselves with the lynch.

The really funny thing is, you called mist obvtown but the wagons you supported are the classic day one mislynch based on a newer player who is trying to scumhunt, but says a few things that could be seen as not having a great logical basis behind it. Give me the poor player who's trying over the player who's making a point of how she's not trying every day.

That said, I really hate people voting her on the basis of her claim. Day one cop claims work themselves out. I have never seen a D1 scum cop claimant survive to lylo in a large. Actually, I've never seen a cop claimant of either stripe do that.
