We descended the maddening steps, twisting and crumbling down the mountains. Each was more than half a man high; these steps were not built for mortal feet, and yet we descended.

The ocean was swollen with spray, churning the white sand into a maelstrom. We watched as strange forms, sometimes creatures, sometimes shapes, emerged from the sinkholes that dotted the flat surface of the water.

Somewhere, deep below, something was moving. Something was emerging. I suppressed a hiccough of glee and fought the feelings of bliss that washed over me, dragging me further into the dark recesses of my mind.

The sand squelched under our feet as we looked up at the alien sky. The familiar constellations were gone; my mind connected the stars in ways that were, I had thought, mathematically impossible.

Ahead of us, half-buried in the ancient sand, was a crude iron circle. We set about revealing the markings etched upon its grimy surface.

@Iec-- I took Mutilation because that was the next appropriate insanity agreed upon by the town. As far as I can tell, I'm one of the few people who is actually FOLLOWING the list as I've gained insanities.

I tend to agree with Benmage about where we should lynch today. Also, please post your night actions.

I debated over whether to take it or not. I would have liked to taboo forensic tools cause I think they are pretty useless, but I didn't have them early on and then I was assigned night actions for many nights. I didn't want to taboo rez or occult books early in case I needed them late in the game.
