Are you a ranged champ? Then

DUH.

Are you a melee champ? Then you should be laning with a ranged champ of some sort, and you should literally be diving in, last hitting, and then backing up to just behind the casters, and if you do get jumped, then as a melee champ you should really have flash to get you out of that situation. The ranged champ you lane with alternates between their own last hits and harassing with their AA/abilities if necessary/viable.
Are you in a 2-melee lane? Then have a word with the rest of these fucks about your team comp.

Servers are finally back up, I bought Brand. First co-op vs AI game I go in to, first guy autolocks Brand. I'm currently sitting in the loading screen as Twisted Fate, who I haven't played in months. Let's see how this goes.

A smart pair of opponents should be able to punish you for that by harassing Amumu until he dies.

Warwick is a very strong laner due to his Q, though. I'd wager your opponents are still harassing whoever is closest, giving Warwick milage out of his Q and allowing you to eventually get kills in the lane.

I think if you're a melee champ, you and your lane partner need to focus on the enemy champs first. Generally if you're melee, you can win the fight with the ranged champion, you might not get a kill, but what you can get is breathing room where they hold off attacking you as you last hit the melee creeps.

Also, if you have a ranged partner and they're last hitting the melee creeps instead of the ranged creeps then they're making things a hundred times more difficult for you.

Technically, last hits are coming up for grabs and your able to distribute them without getting fewer total last hits, you pick the character that needs the gold more and let them get the hit.
