I am not a fan of the way you presented your argument. Are you trying to debate the point and are willing to take any points I might make into consideration, or prove the point that you already believe to be true in a certain way? Because the way you set out your argument suggests the latter in that you're vastly underselling cho and overselling his competition, and if that's the case then there's no point even having this debate.

Ok disclaimer done.

Firstly tank cho - silence is pretty pro for stopping people using gap closers on your carry. Also the knockup shouldn't be undersold, because if it does hit it also has that nasty 60% slow. Sure he doesn't initiate that well, but then you run him with something that has a better initiate and take advantage of his double cc and innate tankiness. Also true damage is great for trolling tanky bruisers.he naturally does a decent amount of damage, and that allows him to function as a scarier than normal peeler.

He doesn't have alistar's issue of being trolled by true damage, and feast is far more in built tankiness than any other tank. Malphite wants the other team to be AD or he can't run his schtick of getting damagier off getting tankier, and also although he has the nice aoe knockup thats basically his only cc and it's on a long cooldown so he can't effectively peel people off his carries. Amumu means you put a jungler in who doesn't have strong ganking presence, robbing you of a warwick or an udyr or something that directly benefits your lanes harder than a mummy jungle and thus requires you to run stronger laners (with correspondingly weaker lategames - making up for the tank with a stronger late game than cho).

Rammus and shen are just pretty boss, though shen's shield is largely worthless imo, and his ability to save someone took a big hit with the recent nerf. Still, global ult is global ult. Rammus is a slow jungler and vulnerable to disruption. There's downsides to every hero.

For tanky dps cho - you put that shit behind something so it either has to run laterally (and you can hit it) or backwards (and it gets ruptured and you can hit it). You scream at corki and he doesn't valk away. Irelia jumps on corki he valks away. And so on. There's definitely a niche for a cc heavy tanky dps champ.

Rumble puts out way more damage and bosses his lane even harder than cho can - and his ult flat out wins teamfights in enclosed spaces (i.e in the jungle). Ryze has a sick lategame where he has built like pure tank and is scaling damage wise off it. Nunu forces cc on himself, jungles, counterjungles and ganks like a boss, and has real nice ap ratios and a sweet support for his carry. Singed is an amazing split pusher with excellent farming abilities and a sick initiate in fling. Cho has some cc (which is not so important if he's going to be a caster and thus be at range) and his rupture being hard to land means that a part of his damage potential is goign to be iffy to land. The ap ratio on spikes is small (0.2 - if you're building it for spikes damage you'll actually get more form your autos with strict attack damage). He has, I guess, better ratios than singed and nunu over the entirety of his combo, but I remain unconvinced.

I'm open to the idea (planted in my head by IH today) that he is simply not that good in any role at the moment.

Actually, how about we settle on a very, very simple solution. You guys ignore me, I ignore you, and we simply don't play in the same games. I'll go with other scummers. That way, you don't have to deal with my oh so terrible play that costs you guys every game but I still get to play with the individuals in a community that I enjoy. That and we keep the quantity of threadshitting argument to a minimum.

Her buff was rather ridiculous, though. They didn't shave off enough from her base damage. Even in a roughly even game, her abilities will be doing around 400+ in damage before resistances (not counting any runes you might have to boost her even further / better builds than what I go with), and tibbers will be doing 100/sec. It's nice that they gave her the strength to scale into late game as something other than a stun whore, but they really overdid it.

Edit: after talking with hito, annie's just powerful at my level of play due to the fact nobody buys defensive items like... ever. Not a ridiculous buff.

I never played vayne, but I dealt with vayne's a lot in lane. Most everybody got phantom dancer, infinity edge, and black cleaver: is the main reason that infinity edge is purchased the passive more than the other stuff? Been wondering about the worth of stacking infinity edges compared to going with more unique items on AD carries in general that have strong AS already. Not really vane relevant, but the vayne talk reminded me of this.
