I think he means the game numbers.. (i.e. Open 308)

I think he fundamentally doesn't understand math or how the site is organized.

I am not used to the 2^4 thing. I didn't understand what it meant at first. I am used to have that number that the power number on top on the right.

X^Y is fairly common formatting in pretty much every context but high school textbooks, in my experience.
