Mejais has seemed alot more worthless lately, even if you snowball. Damage just loses to tankiness everytime, I dunno what needs to be done, if everyone needs to have ap ratios raised, if more expensive items need to have health values lowered, if they need to revert the changes to armor pen and magic pen or what = \

They want to reduce AP Alistar's damage, while keeping his tankiness... so they're also nerfing his heal. Again. Uh-huh. Not a huge fan of that ward change being reversed either, and the Rabadon's nerf is in the wrong direction, IMO: nerf the percentage of total AP increase, not the base AP it gives.

I like the ward changes. Jax/Kat have always used them as a form of escape, and having that option encourages map awareness too. The fact that you'll now know when they're using the ward for said move, and for tele, makes it more interesting. Wonder if you can attempt to destroy the ward to cancel the tele?

*except that heal has a 12 second cooldown which means unless you're trying to 1v1 him, you're either going to force him to pop his ult, or burst him down.

Ali's Heal's cd has that extra clause of

Being able to be used more often if nearby enemies are dying.

So really, in the middle of a wave, he could have it every 3-4 seconds. And then there's cdr.

If you dropped Alistar's ratios to, say, 0.1 around the board, they'd finally be able to make people stop building ap on him and doing tons of damage while being impossible to kill. Instead they'd build ad on him and deal tons of damage while being impossible to kill. The problem is simply that his ult is too good - there is entirely no point in building tank items on Alistar, so people use the gold they get on him to build other stuff - mostly damage, occasionally support. That's why roaming cow is so popular too - he doesn't even need items, really. The thing was, though, although alistar was still strong after the last nerf he was no longer first pick first ban status. Things like vayne still troll him really fucking hard. You'll note in dreamhack he wasn't picked early very often, because he's extremely easy to counterpick.

The amount of free utility he brings may mean he's still viable, but he might fall behind things like blitzcrank now who although they dont have his farm-independence, bring even more utility with better (depending on the nerfs) damage. Back when Alistar was considered UP, it was because his cooldowns are too long, and that was frustrating while trying to play him in a main tank role. Those cooldowns haven't changed.

Ravenous Flock now heals Swain for 75% of damage dealt versus champions, and 25% versus minions

Swain was already hit pretty hard by the change in healing effects from raw damage to actual damage. This one is just ouch on top. His healing in lane has been

halved

. His healing in teamfights will now be comparable to what it was before the original change. Swain now brings very little over other casters. Looks like the era of the tanky AP has passed (bye vlad, bye swain, bye cow...)

As previously mentioned, can't TP to towers.

An interesting thing I've noticed lately though is that if there is a Heimer and he dies while you are TPing to one of his turrets, the turret won't die even though he is dead. It's a pretty sweet way to keep one of his turrets around to help you fight as you jump in to finish off the other team after they kill him.

The nerfs to Irelia keep rolling in, not too fond of the direction they are taking though the issue isn't her skills it's that she's a tanky dps burst assassin who is immune to CC. Until they lower HP / level and her passive she will still be good unless they nerf her skills enough she becomes useless.
