Words cannot describe the awfulness of the random we just got. I dont like out and out rage often, but this guy. I mean wow. Like, I make mistakes, I have bad days. Sometimes I pick fights I can't win. Sometimes I pick fights I can win but my mechanical skill lets me down and I die. But roughly speaking, I know what I'm doing and when I make mistakes I dont make them again.

This dude. A fucking chimp with a lobotomy could see that what he was trying to do was a bad idea. My brain aches trying to describe the myriad ways he failed, the unbounded limits of just how bad he is. I wouldn't mind if he was new and clearly new, and thus didn't really know what he was doing, but the dude clearly had enough knowledge of how the game worked to be able to press the "r" button and put himself in retarded situations. I mean, the basic level of cognitive prowess required for fine motor control should be enough to work out that what he was doing was a bad idea. And he did it again and again and again. If you touch the fire, it burns your finger, and you dont touch it again. Even an infant has that basic level of empirical reasoning. He was literally doing the same shit over and over and over and getting himself killed over and over and over. "OOH THERES A QUARTER HEALTH POPPY NEXT TO A FULL HEALTH ASHE AND 2 THINGS THAT JUST DISAPPEARED INTO THE BRUSH NEXT TO THEM BETTER SHOUT DARKNESSS AND GO SUICIDE TO THEM". I just dont understand how you can be a fully functioning human being with the ability to type the english language - suggesting at least at one point in his life, he was capable of learning - and be so incredibly stupid.

I dont even want to think about how it's possible to feed so hard in laning phase, particularly when your jungler fed you a double kill to start off with. The images I have in my mind (particularly looking at the positions on the minimap where he died and the things he wrote into our chat ("omg she was so loooow!")) are not pretty. I mean, I got matched up with this guy - his performance, that the mmr thought he was the same level as us, is so unbelievably insulting. The dude had like no understanding of even the basic concepts of the game. Like, words cannot describe the myriad facets of his failure. I cant even fathom what he was thinking. I dont want to fathom what he was thinking.

So, after playing DotA 5ish years ago(and being horrible), I'm giving LoL a shot and trying to actually get good at this type of game. I've been reading the learning center and such as it's installing.patching, is there anything that I should know that I may have missed that will be integral to my success?

Don't buy Tier 2 runes.

Try the free champs. Try to learn Tanks, Casters, AND DPSes. Learn the enemy AND ally champ's skills too. That way you won't be surprised when they do the unexpected.

Ashe (Ice-Archer), Ezreal (Girly-Boy), Karthus (The Lich), Gangplank (The Pirate), Pantheon (SPARTA), Twisted Fate (Gambit), and Shen (Ninja) all have global range ults. So if you see that they've hit level 6, expect to get hit (or see them come) from nowhere. First time I saw a Pantheon mandrop (and on me), I got quite the shock.

Oh, and can anyone help? I get lag spikes all the time playing LoL, like I go from 90 ping to over 3000..

Im running an extended ping, and to the internet and gateway my pings never go more than 10-20ms...

I tried port forwarding everything, but that did not help, at all. Next step my be to try direct to modem and bypass router if noone has any ideas?

Check your adobe air, sometimes it doesn't update properly.

Manually patching it to the latest version might help or do nothing at all but hey it can't hurt.

So I've played 2 games, 1st game I went 4 and 4 with 4 assists and killed only 1 building, game 2 I killed 2 buildings and went 16-4 with 10 assists.

So far my only real difficulties are item builds and I don't know how to build up the large mobs of minions that I see other people build up, is there a technique to that or does it just happen occasionally?

Generally my item build consists of the stuff they recommend for me which seems to be working out well enough in the low level games.

I think that's roughly the kind of thing you're looking for, though I'd replace one of your phantom dancers with a Bloodthirster. Banshees veil is the most common defensive item on Ashe, in a game where the enemy damage is nearly all physical you might want something else though. Last Whisper is right if you're having trouble with opponents stacking armour. I'm not sure which is meant to be best between swiftness boots or beserkers, still learning ashe myself.
