I'd pieced together the possibility of DGB over Naut but since Naut wasn't going to Invict himself and I figured Gamma was more likely to invict correctly than DGB (if town)*... didn't matter, that was one hell of a bus.
- Should have gone with Plan A (Guard Gamma, Invict DGB), but it wouldn't have mattered.User out of ambit.

The scum QT is A-grade reading material. The Dead QT is a good read too.
The setup is what it is. The idea behind this setup was conceived after reading Lord Gurgi's How to Win as Mafia - I wanted to make it that much more difficult for scum to kill off the players who suspected them. (As it turns out, N5 they tried it anyway.) I was also interested in whether vig kills were more accurate than lynches, especially after Dynasty Warriors Mafia. (Right now, no conclusion.)
Of course, usingInvictusas a second lynch wasn't out of the question - the game was based pretty directly off of Zachtown in the Mountains (12-3 Double Day). I wanted one more scum and really liked the idea of someone jumping in front of a bullet meant for someone else and then shooting scum for ultimate awesome points, so Bodyguards were added. For the sake of giving Town some kind of actual power and hopefully counterbalancing whatever exponential increase in difficulty may have arisen from adding another scum, a Tracker was added. So it's not like the setup was broken or anything. It just... well, defeated the purpose. I suppose once it was established that it was a second lynch, optimum play would have been to vengekill whoever you liked - nobody would know the difference, but scum would think it was safe~
Town play in this game is probably best summed up like this: Whatever you thought would work during the first three Days, don't do it again. I'm talking to you. It's almost never a good sign when your collective play turns the mod emo.
In spite of the last-minute change of heart, Tarhalindur wins Town MVP just for being closer than everyone else to finding the scum. He actually had the scum scared for three Nights running. ...which was the point of this setup. I'd like to run this kind of setup again, or at least see the vengekill aspect in an Open or something.

I'm in a building stage for setups right now. Right now the one that's closest to being done (lol) is a UPick, which I've enlisted the help of a certain Pikachu for. The other setups... well, I'm always up for rerunning one of my old setups. I still owe hito Holy Orders 3, someone else has contacted me about a game similar to Holographica that has renewed my interest in that, MetaMafia might be hard to find new material for but I'm willing to give it a shot, and I have a few Semi-Opens (like this one!) that were pretty much made to be reused...
Beyond that, I have a bunch of cool ideas like Temporal Horror, Mafia Science Theater 3000, a sequel to my upcoming Mini Theme, and some even weirder ideas that might be relevant to Tarhalindur's interests but a lot of them are lying in pieces in my mind or my desktop. Don't worry, you'll get your full-on ba*d Vi game sometime~
Beyondthat, though - I really had doubts about whether I wanted to mod another game while this was ongoing. I like this side of the site and kind of want to stay, so in the near future, please don't suck.
Oh right. I'm getting tired of the links-in-vote-counts thing. I was pretty obviously running out of material, so I'll probably take a page from the GM's book and start using quotes next time.
I normally don't release QuickTopics just out of policy, but :abuseofpower:

Magua - All that ability did was say "Congratulations! I said there could be a unique role in this setup, and here you are!" It didn't actually do anything.
I guess it was poorly worded, because Ban thought what you're probably thinking. v.vEverything you say and do matters. People will respond in ways you may never see. May those responses be what you intend.- chamber

Awesome, A+ plan from Ben and Ban.
Tar, Regfan and I have to give you our props on nailing us. Good job even though it looks like Ban got you in the end. Arguing against you didn't even feel like David v. Goliath, more like David v. Optimus Prime. It didn't help that I actually had not caught up at all and didn't see your BP argument. Regfan and I knew we would die, but wanted to stall it until the next day on LyLo. Good job to Gamma for hammering us correctly, we thought we were assured another day before quickwagon.
Comments, not that I was here much after I left for Cali
-Ben+Ban did great
-Ban having absolutely no abilities made me laugh
-Can't help but say "wut" to Silavor no tracking night one.
-Tar was, sadly, the only one on the right track for the majority of the game. He scared the shit out of us.
-As this was my first time encountering Fate in a game, I didn't have and still don't have any idea what to make of it. It's like you can tell there's logic somewhere in all those caps, but you can't quite find it. So in the end I just decided to discredit him by calling him Captain Capsderp like MoI because the name was hilarious.
-I gave away far, far too many interactions in my final post that was meant to save me from the lynch (Curse my phone!)
-I actually tried to quickhammer Zach because I didn't see that someone had unvoted, and had to make up a total bullshit case ASAP, obviously did not turn out well.
-Very upset with myself, I was playing well until I left for Cali, only to come back and suck it up until my very last post which was ruined by my phone.
-Regfan and I actually directly contradicted ourselves once due to miscommunication, though no one pointed it out. Can't remember when.
Really enjoyed this game, thanks for modding Vi!
I'm fine with the scum QT being released, though I had many lolfail moments in it (My intention to pressure DGB for not invictus voting after she supported it, only to have her invictus vote in one of her next posts, and of course me trying to stave off the lynch our last day)
Really wish I could have been here for the ~40 pages I missed, though. I literally read maybe 7 pages total after I left for California.- Tarhalindur

Hah, I've got a few MetaMafia ideas running around (pity I won't actually get to play them...). Lemme get up a design QT soon. (There's more than a few older MafiaScum users who still need riffing on, plus a few other obvious suspects, and I've figured out a potential upgrade to the Powerful Wizard mechanic.)
In other news, wow DGB's changed scum meta since I took a site break.
Fate: Hate to say it, but Bodyguard's the one flip that could convince me you were scum (Doctor no, Bodyguard yes).
Also my bodyguard choices sucked this game.User out of ambit.

TBH, a reviewer, dunno who, wanted 2 vigs in the game. Me and Emp shot it down because, in a game with a playersize this big, 3 kills a cycle (lynch, 2 kills at night) was enough. Anything over was a town suicide, adding 2-4 more kills at night because of invictus.

Also, before I forget again - the category headlines weren't lyrics this time, obviously. They were state mottos.
