Wait, HoN has a WORSE community than LoL? That makes me want to play it infinitely less. A community makes a multiplayer game

You addressed none of the actual issues I have used to justify my choice previous, and instead chose to attack one random statistic. Congrats, you got me.

You really are an awful troll. Go take some lessons from Chesskid or something. You're embarrassing all of us.

Take it from someone who is high Elo in LoL, poor attitudes don't win games, leadership and charisma do. I'll try out HoN but you're a fool if you think that competitive = dickheads.

In other news, I find it silly that there are trolls on this website, considering it's a stupid place to troll. May I direct your attention to /v/, /b/, /2/, or even the League of Legends GD?

Then why do you come into the League of Legends thread trying to get people to play HoN?

Junpei actually has a point, here. I've talked to a few of the top tier LoL players, and I was very impressed with how approachable and friendly they were. I actually have Salce's smurf on my friend's list.

I find an exceptionally large cast of playable characters which increases
every couple weeks
to be destructive to maintaining balance (for the developers), learning curve (for beginners), and keeping up with all the changes as a player. I came back to LoL after a 2 month hiatus to find Alistar nerfed to hell, Xin nerfed, Tryndamere using fury (and his healing nerfed), and a new stat (tenacity). Plus four or five champions I now must learn to counter and/or purchase.

Yeah. I was surprised at how often LoL releases new champions.

Yeah having 2 or 3 come out close together is pretty cool, but it's difficult for even players who are around for the changes to keep up.
Leona was released and I was still learning how to play Yorick, like wtf.

I think balancing often is a good thing. The game needs to be able to keep up with how the players are using their champions, and the nerfs and buffs that are like bi-weekly are probably the most efficient way to do that; as far as I can see at least.
or something like that....

You don't have to buy every champion and learn to play with them.

Wukong is pretty bad ass but if you learn his phantom skill the others are just attack bufs or something similar. If you just look at a champion's spotlight you know how to defend against them.

I can't wait for skander(iirc) to appear. I'll buy him no matter what he does. He's a lovely purple crystal scorpion.

Note that everyone on the enemy team had Rally. My butt buddy Kumø and I had to carry so hard because:

Karthus had the most retarded possible build that isn't Archangel Stacking (the Rabadons was the last item he built)
Fiddlesticks and Soraka got caught everywhere possible
Soraka tried to clairvoyance for Evelynn after she stealthed and put wards in the most retarded spots.
They all splatted super fast.

I wasn't surprised to see Karma was 1800. She was much more skilled than Lee Sin was (1450).

Strange. I just played a 5v5 and kumo was playing that little ninja monkey and another guy was playing Wukonng.

Do you play on EU West?

Really depends on 1) which melee dudes and 2) what exactly the other team contains.

If you're playing someone like tryndamere / yi / similar melee AD carry, you want to try and move in last hit a minion, move out (or alpha strike as yi) to avoid getting harassed too much. If you're finding you can't get any last hits from harass, just stay near the back of the minion wave to soak up xp. The only reason you should become underleveled is your eating harass and then getting forced b / killed. Best solution is to stay back more and play a more passive game or to charge up to them and harass back (former is more recommended unless you're *really* sure you can handle a fight).

Aside from that, try to play around with using your skills to get farm if you've got any ranged ones or using blinks (katarina's shunpo, tryndamere's spin) to get away after last hitting a couple of minions. Primary thing is to not just sit there eating their attacks. You get one or two minion kills then you back up, if you've got an inbuilt heal (yi, tryndamere being most prominent examples in my mind), don't be afraid to use it to heal back from harass.

Also: if you're playing a melee tank, don't stress over getting last hits. Focus on sticking to experience range and harassing whenever possible.

Overall: Just stay back and level if you're too afraid to try and get gold from last hitting. Consider using any ranged skills you've got to get your last hits for you instead of going for the auto attack kill.

All the advice I can give, I'm sure others can improve on this.
don't you feel silly now?
