As the two combatants fought, Amrun immediately pounced on top of WeyounsLastClone, pounding on his head. She waits for him to get up, and then sidekicks him against the wall. He coughs up blood.

"...The Black Dragon will not stand for this!"

WeyounsLastClone revealed himself to be none other than Kira, the ruthless Afghanistan illegal weapons dealer. She has trained mercilessly in the art of Mortal Kombat to join the Black Dragon, and since doing so, she's been honing her skills. But she seemed no match for the very strong Amrun.

Suddenly, she takes out her butterfly knives, only to be quickly disarmed by Amrun. Amrun catches them in midair, and stabs Kira in her stomach.

She lets out a gasp of pain and falls to the ground.

The mysterious man leading the tournament speaks. "Great job....that's what I like to see."

....now FINISH HER."

"Gladly."

Amrun takes a butterfly knife. Kira tries to speak, but nothing but a pained whisper comes out. Amrun slices her neck open, bleeding Kira out onto the courtyard bridge.

"Fantastic...great job."

Amrun brushes the blood off of her and jumps back into the crowd of Kombatants.

"I want you all to retreat until the morning. However, feel free to roam around, get to know the island. That is all."

As Kira's body is thrown into a man-made sand pit, everyone wonders what surprises could be around the corner. That man seems very strange...everyone decides to be on their guard for the night.

FLAVOR

As the night went on, Ermac decided to go back to his home realm of Outworld to do some soul searching in preparation of the tournament to come. He opens up a portal and steps through, ending up near the infamous Hell's Foundry.

Back at the island, the man running the tournament walked by, seeing the portal that was opened up. He had a plan.

Cunningly, he told the rest of the Kombatants at their next meeting that the next fight of the tournament was through that portal. As they stepped through, he sealed it shut, laughed at himself, and decided to let Outworld decide their fate.

Days later, while Ermac sat there meditating and recalling times when he was but merely a slave to evil, a fighter crept up from behind him. He stood up, and suddenly was attacked from behind. As he tried to regain his composure, he decided to turn around. A giant blaze of fire was the last thing he saw.

Liu Kang, the first man to reach the Foundry and the most determined to win Mortal Kombat, found Ermac lying on the floor, burnt to a crisp. He felt relieved until he remembered his recent strive to do good. In sorrow at losing an ally, he turned to leave, only to black out himself.

The rest of the fighters arrived hours later. Ermac still lay there on the floor, his body now attracting flies; but he wasn't the only one. The once strong and willfull Liu Kang laid on the floor, face down, without a head. His neck look like someone had bitten at it.

The hope of the Kombatants had dwindled immensely at the sight of their new surroundings and now the death of their strongest ally. A fight breaks out.
