Found someone else who is better than their elo. We probs going to try to duo queue out of it. And hey he even listened to me when I told him to never build a RoA on morg.

Bad advice. Morgana is a tanky in-fighter. If you build her glass cannon, she becomes an easy focus target instead of a dangerous soak. A morgana with RoA, merc treads, and some other meat item (frozen heart is a good one vs ad jungle, bot lane ad, ad top situations) can walk up to a team and force them all to reposition, like amumu.

If you have trouble attaching a dolla bill value to repositioning people, think of it this way: if an item makes you tanky/soaky enough to make one of their carries retreat into a bad position, you can make them vulnerable to the dps of other people on your team. People unconsciously "mirror" the opposing team, which usually means walking blindly backwards when your team walks forward.

If someone on your team can now reach one of their squishies (and could not before) because of your forced runaroundfleeefleee, you've effectively done more dps than any ap item in the game.

No you don't build her glass cannon. That is stupid. The thing is that RoA in and of itself is a bad item in terms of value. It gives pretty much the same boosts as a Rylai's but on a timer and without a slow. The only reason you buy RoA is for the sustainability which is pretty much the only thing that morg doesn't need early game. A better route to take is to grab a chalice early for the mana regen and then start building your more important items such as zhonya's, rabadon's and abyssal, all of which are expensive.

You pay A LOT of gold for that slowing effect. It's a terribly inefficient item, especially on a character who already has a built-in snare combo that doesn't benefit from an additional slow. RoA is one of the most cost-efficient items in the entire game, giving you an incredible value of stats for the gold you pay. The regeneration effect is a fairly cheap/almost free piece of its cost.
