I can tell you that jungle lee sin can be done without any runes, as I've done it successfully (and quickly compared to most non-setup champs I've tried) with only 9 mastery points. The key thing is to know the jungle route and skill order. Starting off with w provides you natural sustain through your entire jungle, which really makes the difference between having a rough time and getting through alright.
Avery importantthing to remember for lee sin: in general you want to attack twice after each ability use before using the second part / another skill. This makes sure you are maxing the value of your passive as steroid. So you'd go... w, two hits, w, two hits, e, two hits... etc. This is something you should keep in mind when jungling or pushing towers, though in fights you may want to sacrifice the benefit in order to do as much burst as possible.
Typical item order is cloth + five health pots, turned into wriggle's (usually get boots after madred's and then get wriggle's), warmog's, atma's, then either frozen mallet if I'm not taking much damage or negatron / chain depending on which is hurting more into force of nature or randuin's later for each.
My route's typically double golems (using smite at the start to make that faster, as I usually don't get a leash), wolves, wraiths (planning for smite to be up by this point, since it was used early on double golems), b, get a couple wards (possibly boots, though I prefer to get razors beforehand), clear again while warding the key points (dragon, jungle entry/exit points, etc).
With lee sin in general, I prioritize w -> q -> e. One point in e at level two and then leaving it there. At six, you should have no problems getting red and immediately jumping into a gank (you can choose to delay getting red if you don't think you *can* get a gank). I'd also recommend donating blue to a teammate, since it doesn't help your jungle as much and that early blue can win the lane for an ally (imagine mage vs mage in mid: the cdr and ability to spam abilities will change the tide).
In a lee sin gank, I'd recommend holding off on using your q if you can, since enemies that have a blink (anybody with flash, a leblanc, kassadin, etc, etc) will pop it when they want to run, and you can use q to close the gap and continue proc'ing the red slow along with your e. You do not want to use your q as the first gap closer unless you have to. It does more damage based on percentage of health missing as well, so delaying it improves your damage output. I'd also recommend walking a bit in front of people when they're trying to run and dragon kicking them backwards into your teammates after they've used their blink. Shouldn't be a problem to do when you've already slowed them, and it's the most effective way to use your ult at low levels (since the damage is unlikely to finish anybody off at that point, better to use it to keep them in range of getting pummeled).
As for masteries, 21/0/9 would probably work fine. Others probably have better advice when it comes to that than me.
Also, on yi jungles without perfect setups: you'll need sizable amount of luck to get a fast jungle. If the q doesn't proc, you'll have a much slower jungle than most. If it does, you'll be insanely fast. (Yi can potentially clear the entire wraith camp with a single q proc)don't you feel silly now?- pickemgenius

I was joking. Still, the bots have some really, really powerful combinations compared to the beginner bots. Like seeing you at half health under the tower, ashe ulting you to allow cho to tank the tower while annie blows you to 0 kind of thing. Things that are done by actual players are pulled off by the intermediate bots.don't you feel silly now?-

God yes, I am sick of underleveled, underfed junglers because they don't do it right. Then they try to gank towards the end of laning phase and die so hard. In the face. It's unfortunate that good oral sex excuses bad chemistry. - Korts- Espeonage

Ah one of those games where people call you noobs when you won the game for them with the help of an epic talon.
2/5/4
Put it this way. I opened up the endgame. I don't think I was in one teamfight after 15 minutes. I was instead at one of their towers hacking away. My team were smart enough to only fight under our turrets which let me split push like a mofo. Then when they went to send one person down to stop me they couldn't do shit because I had 15 minutes of free farm. So they had to chose to either fight 3v4 or sacrifice a tower. I was rather happy with my play as we were really down and out before I started BDing.Don't @ me.- Chronopie

Just played a couple of ranked threes.
The first, we were carried by our Singed, they surrendered. (And that's why Singed usually gets banned.)
The second, we had a bad start, until we got a couple early thornmails, won a couple fights, died when ganked, then managed to ace (3 for 1), pushed down an inhib tower, inhib, and the nexus tower. Then we (Me + Singed) baited all three of them out, for Noc to flash over their base wall and kill the nexus unopposed. gg.ShowHe'sbaaa-aaack

But it's not just about walls, it can also be used to position into turrets, or just into the team.
Oh my dear god! Hey Chrono, knowing you're a stomper with Poppy: What's your favourite poppy build? Also I'm getting into a team fight, Ulting and killing their carry, and then being annihilated. I take out a carry, and my team usually wins the fight, but I'm not there to benefit and get left behind for the later team fights. It's unfortunate that good oral sex excuses bad chemistry. - Korts- Espeonage

What espy said. Start Doran Shield, quick Philo, Boots (usually mercs), Sheen -> Trinity Force, defensive items / Hextech Gunblade.
Exhaust + Ghost, 21/0/9 masteries speccing into cripple and haste.
--
Either ult and roll the carry, or ult the tank or support, roll the carry. Ghost can be used as either a chase or an escape. Don't forget you can Heroic Charge a creep for a quick distance.
And you can use towers (and ruins of such), and bushes (and creeps if you're lucky), as terrain for your stun.
--
As long as you keep the carry down, you're doing your job OK. as long as your carry gets kills, and theirs doesn't, you win.ShowHe'sbaaa-aaack

This being because noobs think kills are everything. I'm glad noone has yet tried to call me out for being 1/5/25 as Sona, for the sake of such an idiot Only a matter of time mind.
Anyone know where that link to change the recommended items went? I can't seem to find it.Returning froma spontanious extended sabatical. Posting from an Android with a crappy touch keyboard, so spelling mistakes will occur with wild abandon.- manho
