Watching RS pubstomp was fun. They haven't had any success at all, really, and apparently had been practicing balls out for a long while. A couple of CLG and TSM members looked genuinely rusty.

Omfg! I mained annie when I first started playing. Like the first 10 games I played with annie. But I didnt play her again until this week.... Wow Im in love and on a 8 game annie winning streak.

Annie is slightly op, imo, compared to other casters, but she's also one of the most fun.

Also, Yorick is a boss.

Speaking of Annie:

I had the best fiddle game in a long time. I went something like 15/2/11. I had Annie with me in the mid and I'd planned to jungle (our Malphite wanted to jungle). So yeah, I ended up laning her out with level one Dark Wind (thank god for that silence!). She was letting me get my full drains in because if she came close I'd silence and fear. It was great, by level six I was three kills in and having a ball. Then I started roaming and eating more face.

By the end of it, myself and twitch were fed, and were ambushing their entire team. I'd crowstorm out of the bush, take one or two out with that and drain, and twitch would take out another with his crossbow. Super fun.

Irelia, in her current state, is broken as hell late game.

Ionian Fervour (passive): Free Mercs when near enemies.

stacks with mercs.

Bladesurge: Free Dash skill, refreshes on kills (+half mana back),

Applies on hit effects, including Trinity Force and Hiten Style.

Hiten Style: Every time I hit you, I heal

by a set amount, regardless of actual damage done

. I can even heal when hitting buildings. And when I activate it, I deal

75 true damage every hit, on top of AD. And it's applied by bladesurge too.

Equilibrium strike: I deal magic and slow you. Even better, if you have the same or a higher

percentage

health than me, I stun you for 2 seconds instead.

Transcendent Blades: I activate this skill, then I can fire four blades that heal me.

and both the activation and firing each blade procs trinity force. five procs, whoo!

You haven't joined the cult of the gravedigger then? Have you tried him since release? He got a wicked buff about two patches after his release, and he's now extremely fun. An excellent solo top, since by levelling his E ghoul, you can survive for ages.

I tried Yorick on his first free week (pre-buff). Not my playstyle.

Besides, I'm already a cultist of the hammer. (Soon to be even more accessible at just 450 IP.)

I lack the skills to be a hammer bro. She's kinda fun, but not my style. Then again... I'm a support / tank player for the most part. For some reason, I just don't like the style of carries and the like.

Singed is just a trolly character in general. He's hard to gank and hard to tell when he's actually killable. You chase him at low health you, you don't know if he's ok or not. Generally if you watch his ult fall off though, thats the time to get him.

I have found the wonders of flash and ghost on him. RoA, Merc treads, FoN, and Randuins you are unkillable and uncatchable with both your summoners, and you're probably about to walk out with a squishy kill. Add in a rylais and an abyssal scepter and you've got yourself a super trolly build that REALLY hurts.

I'm the tank. Their team is GP, Yi, TF, Wukong, Karma.

Karma is playing hard support and the rest of their team is playing AD. I have 405 Armor. I have a Randuins. We get into a teamfight. It goes 1 for 5. With me in the middle laying down CC and literally fucking up their team. My team saw the need to play man marking and focus a different champ each. I literally played a perfect game. I gave all the farm in my lane to our Cait. I got a heap of Gp5s so I stayed on the same farm. I saved people's asses. I built to the opponents. I gave the kills to the carries. I warded. (I was the only person warding) I did everything right but no matter how well you play a tank can't carry.

that's why you play a carry or a jungle if you feel you're below your true elo

You're right. The only reason you didn't win is your Elo. It has nothing to do with the possibility of it just being a bad game.

Garen is a okay choice I guess, he's very strong early game and can act as an anti-carry but if you're dedicating solo tops gold and xp to him I think he needs to roam aggressively to take advantage of his early/mid game strength as he falls off pretty hard.

No sustain and squishy, I mean he's not bad at it as he can harass well / maintain bush control very easily but he has too many bad match ups against the kind of heros that go solo top that I don't think he's top tier.

Also mandatory Morde es #1 solo top hueueueue.

Try Singed, he got me through some rough ELOs and I've maintained a 100% win rate with him (6-0) even when I had some dubious teammates, his ability to reposition people / mass slows and his ult lets him absorb enough hate that he can still be the last man standing even after you take 1-2k dmg before the fight really starts which lets you do some ballsy shit to reset bad engages.
